I don’t think that makes it more efficient if you aren’t as good shooting 3’s. All things equal it’s the smarter shot of course.
Not if you aren’t as good shooting 3’s as mid-range. No need to be a dick by the way either.
He tells you in the post you just quoted: it means he beats guys. He beats guys off the dribble on a drive better than anyone else I’ve seen in this draft. He gets a shoulder past a defender and it’s done. There are ways to defend that if they put on blinders, but that’s a hell of a place to start.
Again, an acceptable but poor shooter from three (~33%) is the same as being an elite mid-range shooter (~50%). Defenses generally sacrifice the mid range for a reason.
Above 33%, I’m more concerned about a guy being scared to shoot than the percentage.
When that is the only thing you’re good at you’re limited in the league. He needs to be a better shooter all the way around.
A lot of the elite scorers in the league are well above 50%. I understand the sentiment.
Again, you don’t have to get in a hissy fit if your favorite prospects issues are getting brought up.

You keep retreating to this argument that we’re just mad bc you said something bad about our “favorite” prospect. I’ve got no problems speaking on Cam’s flaws, in fact his passing has been mentioned several times over.
This mid range stuff just isn’t a huge concern because it is the least efficient way to score in basketball. It’s not unreasonable to prefer the guy who is elite at getting to the basket at the cost of not shooting worse mid range shots.

Cam is ****ing amazing at getting to the rim and driving. If that is all he can do in the league he is going to be very one dimensional offensively. It’s really not that hard to understand. He will need to improve his mid-range game and his three-point shooting to really become an elite scorer that people are projecting him to be. It’s that ****ing simple.
