If you want to call me mad for pointing out a major inconsistency in your argument go ahead. Please continue telling me we I’m just mad that you said something bad about Cam when in the same posts I also say something bad about Cam. That makes a ton of sense.

It’s not really a conversation when you say things like that is it?

I think the thing we’re all getting hung up on is that the mid-range part is not important for him yet, nor should it be for the overwhelming majority of rookies that play the perimeter. If he’s good enough off the catch - and the indicators are that he is, small sample size or not - then we’re off to the races.

In the year of 2023 I think we should understand this kind of stuff. Same applies to shots at the rim. A really ****** player at the rim is similar to an elite mid range shooter. Cam’s ability to get to efficient shots is one of the main selling points and his ability to get to the rim is the biggest thing in his profile. I really wouldn’t think he was a better prospect if he shorted those drives and took floaters or mid range shots instead.

It’s why I like Cam and dislike a prospect like JHS. For JHS to be a more efficient player than Cam he needs to be mega elite at the shots he takes to be better than Cam if Cam was just average. Even in that case Cam still might be more efficient.
 
If 22/80 (27.5%) on shots off the dribble and 34.3% from 3 overall is good enough to you because he is elite at driving and finishing then I have nothing else to say to you.

Well, that sucks. I apologize. I really wanted to see how you explain the reasoning behind “you can’t take Cam criticism” while I was dishing out Cam criticism in the same posts(sometimes same sentences). Would have been funny.

People can have disagreements, but you don’t get to make up a reason for why they disagree with you.
 
Apparently the mavs draft Twitter account says they love Anthony Black and also are unlikely to trade back to get off of THJ or Bertans deal. Interesting.

I just couldn’t think of a rational explanation besides that for defending a guy so hard when he has putrid off the dribble, mid-range and three-point shooting just because he is elite at driving and rim finishing. My bad, if you had genuine intentions I apologize for putting you in that box.

He does have a very nice stroke though. Great form. I think you probably agree that he will likely be a good enough shooter
If scouts thought he couldn't shoot, couldn't and wouldn't pass, wasn't a good defender etc then he probably wouldn't be drafted so high.
His shot is quite beautiful and I think that's why most people aren't worried about his shooting
