Utes 2011 Football Discussion

LOL Typical. If I have to pick the exact 3 games Utah loses YOU need to pick the exact 10 games they will win. You must have a pretty good idea of 2 games Utah will lose. Name them (which you haven't) and we can bet.

And forget BYU. I picked 3 games before even mentioning BYU. This is all about YOU making predictions about Utah and several of us saying you're wrong.
So you want to just poke fun at my prediction without actually going on the record as to why it's wrong (or at least risking any consequences if I turn out to be right in the end). Got it.

Like I said, I'm more than willing to do the same for BYU, even though they play a much crappier schedule and it is only half complete at this point.

I love it.

Haters: Utah is the Colorado State of the Pac 12.
Salty: Utah won't lose more than 2 games next season.
Haters: Clearly, Salty is a homer, etc.
Salty: Bet. Show me where I'm wrong.
Haters: Um, well, lets not do that.

Just remember this when everyone wants to call me a homer next season. It's not so much I'm a homer, just there are a lot of haters on the board. Money talks.

Also, for the record, SalmonHobo (or whatever he calls himself these days) is probably the only Ute hater smart enough to actually win this bet. However, he's probably smart enough not to take it.

I ignored most of the junk in your post, but this one part caught my attention.
One quick question, who is coming to Utah that is projected to be better than White?
Just curious. Curious.

's. Kevin York, 4 star JC RB. Langi will be in his second year. The RB position will be more than one deep.

If you're not running, why didn't you accept HIS offer?
My offer, actually my TWO offers, are on the table.

If a Utah hater is afraid to accept either of 2 offers, from the biggest Ute homer on the board, then perhaps my prediction was not so homerish at all.

Care to take me up on a bet Colton? You know my offers both stand for you too...

At what point does this turn into a weight-lifting challenge with potential legal ramifications and rife with sexual tension?

And you haters remember, I said I would actually pick 3 BYU losses too. So even though BYU plays a much crappier schedule, and even though their schedule is only half done (showing empty weeks for half the season), I will take that and pick 3 losses right now.

So... lets do this.

If anyone thinks BYU has a "better than average chance" to beat Utah they are crazy. The last decade, Utah is 10-3. BYU's only wins were off of miracle plays and BYU had NFL QB's, RB's and TE's in those wins. BYU's talent is nowhere near the level they had to pull off miraculous wins.

Utah will win handily, the series will end, and BYU fans will always run around saying Utah is scared to play them with _____________ at QB. Sad really.

Here is reality: Utah State used to be Utah's rival. Utah left for a better conference and you can see what happened to that rivalry. Utah has now left BYU for a better conference, and with every Chase Hansen, every year that passes that Utah puts 3-5 x's more players in the NFL, and every blowout win (7-3 in the last decade), this rivalry will fade away.

If BYU fan thinks Utah fan will be disappointed to trade BYU for a B1G team they are crazy. Beat BYU by 40 - no national ranking. Beat B1G team by 40 - nationally ranked. See the difference? Relevance vs non-relevance.

That doesn't answer the question. Why don't you accept HIS offer? In case you missed it, he offered you basically the same thing he offered you, just in reverse.

The fact that you don't want to accept his offer just underscores the problem with your own offer(s).

Care to take me up on a bet Colton? You know my offers both stand for you too...

Sorry, I don't bet. But even if I did, I certainly wouldn't agree to a sucker bet where one has to pick three specific games that Utah will lose. And yes, it's a sucker bet. Even if I think of three specific games that Utah has a 70% chance of losing, the change of Utah losing ALL THREE is only 0.7^3 = 34%.(*)

So tell me again, why won't you accept bordy's proposition?

(*) Assuming statistical independence, of course.

There is no problem with my offer. If you think I'm a homer for saying Utah won't lose 3 games, then tell me 3 games Utah will lose. Simple. As I said, I'll go on record right now and do the same thing for BYU- even though they have a much crappier schedule and a lot less games to choose from at the moment.

And, again, I said I will gladly do the same thing with BYU, even though they have a much crappier schedule and fewer games to choose from.

Since you keep asking the same question over and over: I will not accept his proposition because I am not here accepting offers. I made a claim, and if you think my claim is just nonsense from a delusional homer, then you can point out why my claim is wrong. And if you're not just some idiot hater saying crap because you think it makes you cool, then you should have no trouble picking 3 games that you are confident Utah will lose (assuming you think my claim was delusional homer nonsense).

So, again, if anyone thinks my claim was delusional homer nonsense, point out where it was wrong. Show me the games Utah will lose. And if you're really confident and not just trying to stir up crap, then we can bet.

It's easy to just sit back and say I'm nothing but a homer. When push comes to shove, nobody can go on record and risk consequences by disagreeing with my claim.
