Also, the Jazz have been linked to Walker, Ausar, Black, Cam, Hendricks and Bilal -- all with the 9th pick. So yeah, everyone is getting played.

If the Jazz are going to do a deal to trade up, it won't happen until the team in question is on the clock, and it will depend on who is on the board.

I've kind of balked at the Giddey comparison because I think Giddey's passing (his best skill) is way ahead of Black imo....but I think they are similar in the way they can get to the basket and FT line. OTOH, Giddey has a decent floater range game as a compliment to his slashing that I don't think Black has....but Black is a better defensive prospect....sort of. I think Giddey is underrated there.

As an overall player, I'd agree that if Black gets to Giddey's level (or is at Giddey's level in his first few seasons) that is a strong optimistic outcome for him.

i think you're underrating black's passing which is why i think it is such a great comparison (i will also acknowledge i may be overrating it), but while giddey might have the floater black doesn't have, black is a more explosive run/jump athlete which could make up for it. i also agree giddey is underrated defensively.
