THT opting in?

Wonder what he'd want if he opts out and signs a 4 year deal. 4/48? More?
Do people really think he can get 4/50 or anything in that range in the open market? Maybe I'm just completely out of the loop and don't know what is going on, but to me it seems kinda nuts. He's not played anywhere close to deserving that type of contract. What am I missing? I thought for a while Cy was memeing with his love for THT but at this point it kind of looks like it's for real. So weird.

To me it seems obvious he will opt in since he won't be able to get that or close to it on the open market.

If there's a clue here, it's that the Jazz were trying to trade Sexton, leaving Kris Dunn as the only point guard on our roster. Keyonte does come in as a rookie, but I'm pretty sure the Jazz ultimately see Dunn as a backup.

Tony was making it sound like he might not even get his option picked up.

THT is a date don’t marry type of dude. If he wants more money he can get it next year when he’s proved it. If he opts out and finds a sucker so be it.

If we dont keep Dunn then that tells me we aren't trying to hard to win next season. Which is good and bad imo. Its good cause more minutes and development for younger players but I am hoping for the playoffs so that is the bad.

THT is switching to #5 and Hendricks is going to get #0. I think this is a pretty good sign that THT is going to opt in because if he wasn’t I don’t think he’d care about the number situation. He could also opt out and re-sign as well.
I don’t know how this works, maybe there’s a deadline to pick a number but maybe it’s out of courtesy as maybe he’s opting out so he doesn’t care. Just a wild guess though

Such a unique talent. If he could just improve his catch and shoot 3 pointers, he’d be a brutal guy to have to defend. Glad they tried him at PG. He’s not traditional at all, but he’s best with the ball in his hands and it’s probably his best position.

I don’t want to see it often, but I’m definitely looking forward to THT and Sensabaugh being out there together.
Such an interesting and intriguing option to have the length and guard skills these guys would provide in a small ball lineup. Sensabaugh as a small ball 4 with the midrange shooting ability is really interesting. Hopefully he can stay healthy.
