I'm pretty sure this is all playing out exactly like the Blazers FO wanted it to. Most people could see that the smart thing for them to do was to take Scoot and trade Dame. I don't think they could do that with how loyal Dame has been, they had to wait for him to request a trade.

How many picks do the Heat actually have to offer? I thought it was just two, but I've heard 3 as well. What can they realistically get for Herro? Especially considering any team they deal with knows they are desperate.
They have four tradable ones 27/28/29/30 but you can’t in consecutive years so they really can only include two in a single deal. 27/29, 27/30, or 28/30 then they can include swaps in 2024 plus the other two years they don’t trade.
They also owe OKC either their 2025 or 2026 first so actually they can’t even trade their 2027 first. It would have to be 28/30 with swaps in 24/27/29.
We can obviously blow any Heat deal out of the water.
Who else would we realistically be competing against that could give more than the Heat?
We just need to beat the next best offer.

I remember watching ESPN and they were talking about what a trade between blazers and heat would look like and they were giving the blazers 28 and 30 picks
Brooklyn… they have three Phoenix firsts in 25/27/29 plus a 2027 Philadelphia 1st top-8 protected, plus a 2029 Dallas 1st.
Their 2025/2027 own firsts can be swapped by Houston. They own their 2028/2029/2030 firsts as well as a 2028 Phoenix pick swap.
They have a lot of ammo for sure.

Brooklyn’s planning on trading for Mitchell next year though. Gotta save some draft capital to swing that trade.

Realistically, the Jazz are probably going to not get Lillard, and they’ll consolidate THT and Olynyk into one player on a slightly longer contract to have more stuff to trade with later.
I’m expecting them to go hard for Doncic or Brown.

I think we can do a reasonable trade for Lillard where we still having assets to trade for another star.
Sexton, THT, Sensabaugh, Olynyk, Cavs 25 (unprotected), ours 25 (unprotected), Lakers 27 (top4 protected), ours 29 (top 5 protected, then becomes 30 top 5 protected, then a 2030 second). Get Lillard and Nurkic for backup center, Blazers can still redirect Sexton and Olynyk to the Bucks (or somewhere else) for another assets (maybe Allen and Connaughton for another "lightly tho less lightly than ours 29" protected 1st ?).
We'd still keep George, Hendricks, Kessler and Agbaji of our main younger players. Also Wolves 25, 27 and 29 (top protected), Cavs 27 and 29, ours 26 and 28 picks (we need them to keep the swap rights with cavs and wolves).
