2023 annual Jazzfanz all time NBA draft

Going to be a crowded paint. Howard, Duncan, English, and Drexler pretty much operate inside the 3pt line
Drexler actually ended his career with a .309% 3PT, not great, but not bad for his era. And the last half of his career he was taking about 1/3 of his shots from outside and hitting at a 0.35% or higher. So, you're just talking about era with him, not ability.

But you aren’t using older Drexler. You’re using 88-89 Drexler who was a bigger guard who had elite athleticism. He used it. He wasn’t spending time operating outside the 3. He was using his elite length, strength, and explosive athletic ability to slash and get inside and used the mid range game a lot. And he shot 26% out there. This style of play is what made him basically the second best sg of that time. He’s not as good if he plays any different.

Pretty crazy. He was super smart to work some trades to get through 5 eras as quickly as possible.
If you wanna know the truth I had some highly important, targeted players fall off the board right before some of my picks and in order to get to a couple other targets had to get the eras stuff out of the way so I could snipe some guys (VC was a HIGH priority). So I traded back a bunch of times to trade up later.

Ron Artest aka Metta World Peace 07-08

Artest is one of the most versatile defenders in nba history with his ability to lockdown on the perimeter while having the strength to battle inside with any big not named Shaq.

Was really hoping for a miracle that I could get him.

Welp I couldn’t get Gasol so I’m gonna go with my back up plan while completing my era requirements

Al Horford

2015-2016 all star season
15.2 ppg
7.3 rbs
3.2 ast
1.4 blk
35% 3p
He should get more shine in these competitions but I also admit that he just strikes me as lackluster on first glance. Really solid player.

Holy ****, it's finally my turn, after days of waiting.

I'll take Shawn Kemp 95-96.
Nobody respects the Rainman in this competition. But he’s the only tier 1 athletic roll man that plays great defense besides Malone. Good get.

Actually he’s over respected in this. He has defensive chops but he’s soft. Sonics often hid his defense putting him on stiff none offensive centers or pf’s. And low IQ. He’s one of the guys I leave off my board.

Anyone wish they went a different direction earlier with how the board ended up falling?
Probably. I mostly wish I would’ve had the stones to trade up a couple of times but I think I pivoted well when a couple of high-priority guys went right before I was able to.

He blocked two shots a game for years. More importantly, why did the Sonic’s defense absolutely fall apart when they traded him? That was a team that still had Payton.

Malone had his number, for sure. It is absolutely not the whole story. He usually goes in like, the 80’s in this contest.
