2023 NBA Free Agency Thread

When the trio of Durant, Beal & Booker flames out, some of those pick swaps are going to be worth solid gold. Their team building strategy seems so erratic that it feels like it’s bound to fail.
I think its not erratic, but quite the opposite. Its the classic grade school math logic. Just add more talent with different position labels and you always get better. F*** stuff like fit, chemistry and strategies.

Like that hasnt been tried before.

Nets (last ones to try that) are right now in the same hole that waits Suns, where they do have some picks from trading away the pieces that didnt fit... but not their own. Thus they cant tank and will only have access to bottom of the first round talent for the next 5+ years, which sucks from rebuilding perspective.

Hoopshype said teams are waiting for OKC to make some cuts because they are going to have to cut some good players. I expect the Suns will try to pick up some cheap depth there, but should the Jazz? I really like Ousmane Dieng so long as we are going for positional size and length. I know others liked TyTy Washington too but I don't know a buttload of crap about the Tyspel.

If Embiid goes to New York and Dame goes to Miami, then I wonder where Donovan would sign when it comes time. I'd imagine NYK/Miami would be off the table if those two trades happen.

Would that make it the Lakers?
