Who is the backcourt star we could theoretically get to complete the roster?

I'm really hesitant about Murray. He puts up big numbers but I don't think he has that big of an impact and I don't like his outside shot. If I had to choose between Murray and Herro I think I would go with Herro. I think Herro has another level to go offensively and would thrive with Lauri in the pick and roll.

IMO, Murray's defense makes up for a lot of the outside shot. Especially when compared to Herro's defense.

Where are we with #MurrayWatch at this point? Obviously ATL solved the worst of the near-term salary problem with the John Collins trade, but is there another path to Murray becoming available?

When I look at the landscape of options, it's hard to find a better fit than Murray. Even if Keyonte pops, he and Murray could co-exist pretty seamlessly, IMO.

He signed an extension this summer... so its kinda dead unfortunately. That was part of the urgency and it is now gone.

Yeah he signed a 4-year extension, which is one reason why I like him. If Young and Murray still can’t be efficient together next season, we could try to snatch him with a big offer. He would be a great fit for the Jazz.

Lol yeah. But you’re touching the problem we have in that we might not have players we are willing to give up who could interest the Hawks, unless we get a player they like and then include him in the trade.

Well the good news is that Garnett is actually available right now.

I know it is the Summer and you guys are bored but some people on this board are wanting to trade half the team I like the Jazz current roster. Is it championship level? No, but the Jazz will win more than they will lose this upcoming season barring injuries. Denver and even OKC have been patient and have had success. Denver wins a championship and OKC has a young talented roster which improved last year. They will be in the hunt for years with young players and a ton of draft picks. I think you make trades to shore up weaknesses. RIght, now the Jazz have a very deep team with some vets and some young prospects. Trading away guys now is jumping the gun. Let this team play a couple of years to see what it can become. Who knows the Star me need may already be on the roster.
