Here we go! 1st county is starting to report in. Romney with 37% and Paul with 24% so far but extremely early. Even for that county.

I live how he uses dental terminology to pitch his messages. So Awesome. I work with people all day long and hell yea some of them need to be forced to brush their damn teeth.

The state is already called for Mitt Romney 1 minute after closing. "...significate lead..."

Also called that Paul is in 2nd and Huntsman in 3rd.

How would a Romney/Paul ticket fare?

I actually wouldn't mind that as much as the other options.
I haven't decided yet which way I lean, but I like Romney in some ways, and I like Paul in other ways.
I wonder if they can work together?

I think so. Question is would Romney choose him. Texas is already going red. I can see a Marco Rubio from Florida as a viable VP option. He possibly brings Florida.

Would rather see a Paul/Huntsman ticket....but I think Romney will choose Marco Rubio. It's Florida after all.

Question is would Romney choose him.

As the great Karl Malone would say, "Not no, but hell no." Would never happen.

Paul finishing second here would be really cool though. I like New Hampshire. If I'm just loaded beyond belief by the time my future kids are in high school, I'm going to send my kids to Phillips Exeter Academy there so they can rule the world one day.

Romney ran away with this. 38% so far and widening. The money will continue to flow in. Gingrich is doing more harm to himself by seeming so petty. Santorum is 4th which does not help him in S.C and Perry is done. Romney has the very popular S.C Govenor in his corner. The race is over. Crown Romney and call it done. For good or bad he has won...

Rep. Ron Paul's campaign called on the rest of the Republican field to drop out of the race and unite behind him in order to defeat Mitt Romney.

“We urge Ron Paul’s opponents who have been unsuccessfully trying to be the conservative alternative to Mitt Romney to unite by getting out of the race and uniting behind Paul’s candidacy,” campaign chair Jesse Benton said in a statement.

Right.... like that's going to happen. I've never been under the impression that those other guys love Ron. Wonder why his campaign even thinks that demand is in the realm of possibility. Hopefully at least Perry does indeed fold now though.

I think it is very telling that Romney and Huntsman had over 50% of the vote. Hopefully this is a good sign that America is moving away from the extremists in both aisles.

What about Romney/Christie?

What about Romney/Christie?

It is possible but I don't see New Jersey going Republican. I mean Mitt already has strong ties to Michigan and N.H. which are both swing states. I really see him choosing someone who could strengthen him in another swing state. Namely Florida, Ohio, Iowa and Indiana.

I don't think Mitt will choose Christie as being VP as it is just one small step from the presidency and Christie has already said he wasn't ready for that. I don't think Christie would accept. I think Mitt will go with Rubio.

That said, while Christie may not deliver NJ it wouldn't shock me to see the states you listed voting R because Christie is part of the ticket. I would love to see Christie in the WH. Moreso than any of the current choices.

Looks to me like Ron Paul has a chance to beat Romney across the south and in pockets of the West. Whether the others give it up or not.

It's going to be hard for the RINO management of the GOP nominating convention to just ask him not to come. But that's what I predict they will do, and where will we have to go then for representative government on a constitutional republic platform that still claims respect for human rights and government of, by and for the people?

The parties know the people wont go any where that is the problem. Individuals are smart and indipendent. People are dumb, panicky and easily lead.

Also no one has a chance against Romney in Utah and Idaho. Also Romney has a built in edge in Nevada and Arizona. All of this due to the large Mormon populations. Paul might pull of Wyoming and Montana. Those are pretty independent libertarian voting blocs.

I was watching a bit of CNN during the commercials of the Jazz game and they sure thought he could force a convention showdown already and demand a primetime speaking spot. If that was to be Ron Paul's swan song, I wonder if he would let it all come out during that speech knowing he wasn't going to get the nom. I think he really does hold back on a lot of his views to stay at least somewhat in the mainstream. People think he is an extremist already, but I'm guessing he's really a lot more "extreme" than he lets on.
