A little off topic, I remember when Larsen compared Hendo's shot blocking to JJJ. Honestly, it's started getting suspicious for me when people are hyping guys up in such crazy ways. I think it was
@seattlejazzfan who first brought this up....but chances are that he's not even going to be considered a shot blocker (depends on how loosely you want to give that label) at the NBA level and JJJ is the very best in the league at it. If you look at all the guys who you might consider shot blockers in the NBA, most of them were blocking double the amount of shots in college. I had Hendricks about where he was drafted, but if you had him that high because you thought he was a JJJ type shot blocker...you were mislead. Same kind of thing goes for the rebounding. Hendricks wasn't an ok, but not great rebounder at the college level, but I've seen that pop up a few times now. Bryce was as good/better as a rebounder, but you don't really hear that mentioned at all.
The draft is an imperfect science, but when you're off in such obvious ways that should have been very obvious at the time I think you've got to adjust the way you look at things. Even when it wasn't obvious you should do that. Or you can start whining because others aren't being homers, whatever you want I guess. Everybody knows that you "slap around" someone when you pull the crybaby homer defense card lol.
