We figured we would lose this one. On the real we've lost to last year's 3 and 4 seeds and we beat the 5th seed. Nothing to frown about.

When Lauri touched the ball generally good things happened. But the problem was the guard corp decided it was their game, instead of a game they wanted to win.

Yeah and I don’t even know who to fault. I mean where’s the P n’R action? Just a lot of standing around and then Iso stuff - totally pathetic!

And can somebody please tell Sexton that he’s only six foot tall? His shot selection and seeming belief that he can shoot over much taller opponents is just incredible to me at this level. After so many B-ball sandwiches you’d think he’d learn.

For me it is clear cut - whenever the guard action is subpar it affects the whole unit in both ends of the floor. In a word it is demoralising. When the guards are as bad as THT last night or others at times it kills the feeling to do cuts and move etc. bc there is no consistent floor general. And bc most of NBA talents live through offensive moments it starts affect the defensive output as well. It gets the energies down to floor.

You’re 100% correct. It is deflating when certain ball handling parties seem to be sabotaging the offense. But how much of this comes down to incompetence as opposed to poor preparation. It just seems like we were 100% more prepared last season coming out of camp than we are this season.

I know we miss Conley so far but NAW also starts for the wolves in a ball handling capacity as well. Did we actually let our two best ball handlers get away at the deadline last season for one lousy protected pick? Let’s hope not.

Plus it was the 3rd game for Suns as well who had 1 day of rest advantage but on the other hand missed 2 of their 3 best guys.
