The Spurs were lousy for quite a while.
I don’t hate THT at all. Actually I’m delighted that he has improved his playmaking. He is still young and has a lot of upside. But unlike you, I don’t turn a blind eye to his weaknesses as they are at this stage of his career.10th in potential assist, would be top 5 if he had more minutes. He's a playmaker. Stop hating.
Collins saved THT’s butt there by covering for his missed shot. And holy **** at some of those "examples".
Like the layup THT misses at the 5:15 mark in the 4th quarter.
Who the **** is he supposed to pass to? He missed a layup, it happens. It successfully resulted in an easy put back for John Collins because of the defensive attention he drew. That's playmaking in the 21st century. You have to be a scorer to be a playmaker.
It's ****ing crazy how some people expect perfection out of a 22 year old playing as a starting PG for the first time in his career. Yes, THT is not ****ing Tyrese ****ing Haliburton. Good god.
Lol bro. People here point out THT’s weaknesses (e.g. his poor shooting and inability to turn and kick out to an open 3-point shooter when he drives) and you with your rose-colored glasses don’t want to accept them. Plus you missed the point. Considering THT’s shooting% for 2-point plays and Lauri’s shooting% for 3-point plays, THT needs to pass the ball when the opportunity is there. 3>2.And holy **** at some of those "examples".

When that hypothetical draft pick finally develops into an actual top 5-10 player (I wouldn't count on drafting an NBA-ready generational talent), Lauri won't be a top 20 player – not anymore, at least. He'll be on the wrong side of 30, with a million miles on his legs.If the Jazz think the Cavs are going to give them lottery picks in 2025 and 2026, that might accelerate their timeline, since they'll be able to add talent with another team's picks. If Lauri is ultimately a top-20 player in the league, the Jazz are going to need to find an avenue to acquire a top 5 - 10 player in the league. That will probably need to be through the draft.
That's part of attacking the rim. You draw attention. That's the main part of being a playmaker.Collins saved THT’s butt there by covering for his missed shot.
