What this guy brought up about Giddey is interesting and looking at his numbers this year... It could be another 2012 Harden type of situation unfolding. Simply too much talent and too many mouths to feed. If we could somehow steal Giddey out of OKC and he could be the ballhandler/playmaker we've been looking for.

The Thunder/Jazz trade that I like is Clarkson for Dort.

OKC could really use a bench gunner and Dort would be amazing next to Keyonte.

Dort has way more value than Clarkson. He has always been a beast defensively but if he can settle in as a high 30% 3pt shooter then he becomes a steal at his contract number.

Would it be possible to sign Hayward and trade for Paul George?

I'm trying to think of a realistic quick turnaround the Jazz could pull off.

I know PG has a player option, which he basically has to decline (if he's financially motivated/shrewd, which most are).

But is there anyway if the Clippers know he is leaving to work a sign and trade with them? Could we convince PG with like "Hey we are getting Hayward and we got Lauri, we just drafted the #1 pick and we will still have a boatload of assets to strengthen the team when needed". Give them Sexton/Collins/Brice/Pick (wouldnt have to be a ton since George would be asking to go to Utah or he would just leave and give them nothing, and as I type this I'm laughing at the thought of a star demanding a trade to Utah). But it could be this cool moment where PG/Hayward unite as the last remaining players of their draft class, who were picked back to back. To convince Hayward we sign Jeremy Evans as our 15th man.

Chris Paul's individual stats are fracking awful. Clarkson can be traded in January and that gives the Warriors/CP3 experiment enough reps for them to get sick of it and move on.





You can replace Simone/Luka for Dunn if they want Dunn. Clarkson would be huge for them. The fact that his contract gets cheaper the following 2 years would be huge for them.

Actually think this is a highly realistic move.

Boy, that Clarkson extension is looking worse and worse.

Sure it gets cheaper, but not cheap enough IMO. We're fooling ourselves if we think teams see him as some kind of a final piece of the puzzle at this point. I'll be shocked if anyone is willing to part with actual assets for JC.
