The last election was completely secure and has full integrity. We don't need to go back to 1989 so that MAGA boomers feel comfy about their vote. Those things don't make the vote any more secure at all. I mean other than observers which is and has been allowed.

We should remember that Fox News paid through the nose (nearly $1 billion dollars) for the election fraud lies they told for months. They knew it too, but feeding drooling cultists like Al lies rather than tell them the truth and risk losing them to even more dishonest and far right media, was more profitable to them.

Which is what we should do on 2024. Biden isn’t perfect. But he’s far better than Trump. A Dem led House isn’t perfect, but I’ll take them over the Gaetz Bobo circus. I’m not a fan of Schumer in the Senate, but I’ll take a Dem led Senate over a McConnell one. Not a fan of this activist Supreme Court, so that’s gotta change too. And that can only be done by outlasting them (or enacting much needed reform).

The GOP has attacked our democracy. It’s time to rip power away from them until they come back to playing the democracy game again, by featuring sane candidates, good ideas, and belief in the democratic system again.
 
What about those of us who like voting by mail? I get to avoid lines, watching old people try and solve tech problems, and get to research candidates before voting. It’s nice and convenient. And I can track when my vote is counted. utah has used it for years and there hasn’t been any problem with it. I’m part of the majority. Don’t MY feelings matter? Or do we only care about the loud minority that worships Trump and thinks Qanon is real?

I didn't call for anyone's death. I said "wait" for them to die. So for Trump any day now, maybe 5 years if we're unlucky, 10 years if we're really unlucky. Boomers might take 10-20 years until they have no influence on our politics. It's crazy that the flower power hippie generation is the one that wants to push us into an authoritarian nightmare, but here we are. I've got no love for MAGA boomers who are actively trying to make life worse for the generations that followed them.

I won't whine, I will justifiably criticize how dumb they are. I don't have to appease people for being dumb. I don't owe anyone anything just because they want to be little brats. Your suggestion is like telling the parent that "Well unless you want your kid to keep crying and throwing a tantrum then you better let them eat that candy and stay up until midnight." We all know that doesn't work, the opposite in fact, so I'm not sure why I'm supposed to worry about this MAGA boomer tantrum. I ain't giving them any candy.

Again, if we eliminate mail in voting and require 10 forms of ID to vote and they still don't feel comfy about their vote then what?
Just let whoever doesn't feel comfy and who shows distrust choose everything for those that do trust and that do feel comfy?

Yeah I open my ballot in front of my PC and I look up info on all the candidates I'm not already familiar with and cast votes if I feel like I have info to do so. I leave some votes blank when I feel like I don't know enough about the candidates or the issue to make a vote.
