I really liked President Obama. I want him to be president in 2025. The constitution says that he can’t run again because he’s already served two terms. But he should be able to cuz rules shouldn’t apply and it would be politically popular to let him run again.

Listen folks, the majority of Americans believe Trump committed an insurrection. Trump also believes he did, because he’s doing everything possible to postpone these trials instead of expediting them. Most Americans want the constitution to be enforced. Now true, the cult will burn hotter and brighter if Trump isn’t allowed on ballots. But the rest of us want the rules to be followed and in this country, the constitution rules.
Not following the constitution does four things:
1. Deflates the majority of us and our belief in the constitution. Our trust in the constitution is based in our belief that it applies to all, no matter how rich or loud you are. Don’t our feelings matter? Or does just the cult’s?
2. Renders the constitution moot. Why follow any rules then? What’s stopping Obama from running? What’s stopping Trump from becoming a dictator and leaving the executive to Ivanka when he dies? What’s stopping Putin from just declaring himself leader of the United States? Rules don’t matter anymore!
3. Opens the door for chaos. Why? Because if Trump can successfully postpone the trials then he can pardon himself if he wins. And if he loses, His House can just reject the election results. Is this really what we want?
4. Emboldens fascists. We keep “fearing” that his cult will lash out if they don’t get their way. It’s actually the opposite. The more they get their way the more emboldened they become. It’s time to remind these folks who really is in charge of this country, and it’s not them. We are a nation of law and order.
If Trump didn’t want the Insurrection Act to be enforced, then he shouldn’t have committed insurrection. He should have left public office peacefully, just as every president prior had done. Trump did this to himself. Those of you on this board wouldn’t spoil your children. Why are you so willing to spoil our country because you feel like Donald shouldn’t have the rules applied to him?
