Those guys are homers that really make some lopsided deals. It’s the same guys that were like “2 firsts and RJ for Donovan… Utah can’t do better and we can just wait”.

Don’t get me wrong… they are smart dudes… just a little 2k nerdy when it comes to this stuff.

Grimes is better than Ochai obviously but we could give a real first, Ochai, KO and THT and I think it’s a better deal.

My fantasy trade for the Jazz would be a 10-12 player trade using multiple teams that when the dust settles 10 of the 12 players are on the waiver wire. That would clear some space for our youngsters.

If you asked me to swap him for Ochai I’d do it in a second though. He will find his shot again and is a good defender. They prolly should have sold high if they had a chance. They thought he was Bane 2.0 after summer league his second year.

One thought… the early OG trade I think will set off some early activity. May not have to wait until deadline day to see some sparks fly.

If we keep Lauri, I would go after Dejounte. He’s undervalued playing behind Trae. Two seasons ago with the Spurs he averaged 9.2 assists per game (fourth in the NBA). With us he would be a lead playmaking guard again. He has a pretty nice contract too (avg 28.5 mil/year starting next season until 2028). He is also young enough to fit in and retain his value if traded later.

He's like the fancy version of Derrick White. Both have made huge stride as shooters since their Spurs year. Converting 2.5 threes per game on 38% makes him a threat both on and off ball.

I don’t think he makes the winning plays that White does. I see what you are going for. I think for a team that needs some usage/creation that Murray might be better for us than White but maybe not. I think for a team that already has a guy like Tatum that White is a much better fit.

Murray is just one of those guys I think is good but if we got him and he was much better or much worse than what I thought I wouldn’t be surprised either way. I think we’d be an ideal situation for him to put up numbers and help us win more but it’s mostly cuz our pg situation is ***.
