This is likely the Wizards second rounder they own... 32nd pick. Tech gonna get paid by Detroit so I'm happy for him I guess. Also, lol at the pistons... why?
 
Simone was pretty huge to the Jazz's success starting in December. He was our only player capable of guarding star wings. He was our best non-Lauri shooter.

The Jazz going to make more lose now moves?

So Ainge told Tony the Suns and Celtics were into Simone and that drove up the Detroit price tag.

Its good for them I suppose since he is restricted. They just seem kinda desperate not to be the worst team ever. Its just kind of outside of the normal typical bottom feeder move. They have the space to keep him.

I change my mind and rescind my lol... I will add a golf clap. this is partly pre-agency.

They are keeping Lauri, so the direction is pretty clear to me. It's build around Lauri and acquire as many good players as possible without overpaying or chasing short-term results.

I guess I just don't see it. Lauri is a great player but he's not a player you "build around", simply because he doesn't add much to the rest of the roster in the form of playmaking or setting up others. He's more of a player you would love to have once you have your primary initiator and playmaker, maybe even secondary initiator. IMO we don't have any of those right now(unless Keyonte turns into one of those players?). And BTW lets not pretend like there weren't rumors about the Jazz being open to trade Lauri like... a month or 2 ago. How sure exactly are we that the Jazz are actually "building around Lauri"? IMO their behavior right now fits exactly what I described... they are in holding pattern... waiting... listening to every offer(including for Lauri)...

I feel pretty comfortable building around Lauri tbh.
