Jazz trade Fonteccio to Pistons for 2024 2nd

I think they were hamstrung by that Collins contract esp if they are going to extend Lauri too. Maybe I'm dead wrong.

Look I'm upset they traded Tecc too. Trying to make sense of it.
Certain they could time those things were they wouldnt be an issue.

Sounds like this was to open up minutes for Ochai and a KO trade is coming next for Hendricks.
Im down with that. Play the young guys and try hard to win. Would be awesome to see hendricks and ochai contribute to a playoff team.

Happily? Celebrate? 13M a year for Fontecchio is far from that.
Look man, I know your thing is to kind of **** on players once they get traded, but you are being weird if you sit here and act like a 40% 3pt shooter (not just a wide open spot-up guy either, a guy who can make tough looks off the catch and motion) isnt worth that. Simone is basically a poor man's Klay Thompson and is hyper valuable.

I have no idea if Procida is any good or will become an NBA player. But his percentages are fine. Unlike the NBA in Europe they play and are allowed to play defense. Also, unlike college all the leagues are full of seasoned professionals, not 19-21yos.

Tecc's situation would help the money crunch, not hurt it. His cap hold is tiny, that's the only relevant thing here.

If they trade Sexton for something less than amazing I'm going to lose it.
Me too. I dont think they will though. Would have to be a great offer imo. Hardy might not like sexton but I think DA does.
