If guys are such experts on why Castle sucks and will fail I’d suggest finding guys in THIS draft that are better prospects lol. Let’s hear about those guys since you have it all figured out.

Which one of those guys is in this draft?

Castle is in this draft. If the Thompson twins and Black have shown that they’re pretty ineffective in today’s nba so far, I think it’s pretty safe to say that Castle, a worse prospect than those listed above, will most likely struggle as well. No one can perfectly predict the future. But we can certainly see patterns here and Castle has shown enough of a pattern to warrant extreme caution when drafting.

Yeah he’s not a complete non shooter who is a spoiled baby. He’s already displayed that he’s more of a winner than that guy.

Simmons is a loser. But who else on LSU went into the draft from that 2015-2016 roster? Any lotto picks? Did Simmons play with a top 10 pick center? Who was the coach even?

Meanwhile, Castle is playing with how many other lotto picks? If his coach retired tonight, would he already be in the NCAA HOF? I’d be cautious when giving Castle credit for winning at UCONN. He’s playing with some of the best college basketball players in the nation and arguably the best coach at this level.

Think about how much more stacked that UConn team would’ve been had Hawkins come back for another year? Sheesh

Trying to think from the Jazz's perspective, I think my board for them would look like this:
1 Topic
2 Sarr
3 Buzelis -- Assuming he shoots well in workouts
4 Risacher
5 Williams
6 Knecht
7 Holland
8 Sheppard
9 George -- If he's used this time to improve his body
10 Castle

I think the Jazz are going to try to trade up and make sure they get a long wing with some ball skills, whether that's Buzelis, Risacher or Williams. They might go for Holland if they believe in his shooting.

Topić should far and away be the consensus #1 prospect in my opinion. He’s 6’7 in shoes with a 7’0 wingspan. Elite rim finisher and passer. I just don’t see a world where he’s not good.

Topić should far and away be the consensus #1 prospect in my opinion. He’s 6’7 in shoes with a 7’0 wingspan. Elite rim finisher and passer. I just don’t see a world where he’s not good.

He gets by defenders, with or without a screen, using his tight handle and body control. Then he's on the rim at 6'6" with an ability to hit shooters all over the floor. The NBA is tailor-made for him. He's not Luka, but he's a better prospect than Dragic.

Simmons didn’t even finish the season. If Castle is as talented as Ben was and had his good attitude then you draft that guy 10/10 times.

How many lotto picks on Uconn… lol it’s Clingan and Castle and not sure there is another first rounder. The kid could have chosen to go to a **** school and do the GG Jackson or Isiah Collier… and we think it’s worrisome that he picked a winning program and coach and willingly accepted a role.

If the shot becomes passable (it can… he doesn’t have wonky form like the other guys mentioned) he’s a high level starter. Think Alex Caruso with maybe more pop. He has some wiggle and quick movement that a guy like Black didn’t. If he becomes good off the catch and passable off the dribble he can be an all star. In our pod the other night I listed off about 10 guys that had his shooting splits that became good shooters in the last 7 or so years. I listed some fails too… but most did not fail because of shooting alone.

He’s a great prospect. He will also likely go 3-5 spots higher than he should in a good draft. It’s okay… this draft is rough. Make lemonade.

Yeah I don’t do well thought out arguments… please. Those guys are doing about what they should as rookies. Amen has had a great run of games after an injury. Black plays on a very good team so he’s getting slow played. Ausar in a bad situation but has shown a ton. Castle is a better prospect than Black imo. I watched a lot of Black last year. Amen and Ausar are nuclear athletes and better than Castle there but Castle is way easier to project as a shooter.
