Jon Stewart can’t save democracy, but it seems he can help identify its enemies

The "Daily Show" host gave a masterful display of speaking truth to power with the help of FTC chair Lina Khan.

“After mentioning that Apple had discouraged him from speaking to Khan, Stewart asked, “Why are they so afraid to even have these conversations out in the public sphere?”

Khan’s response was clear and astute (professors and public intellectuals, please take note — this is how you share your expertise with laypersons):

"I think it just shows one of the dangers of what happens when you concentrate so much power and so much decision making in a small number of companies. Going back all the way to the founding, there was a recognition that in the same way that you need the Constitution to create checks and balances in our political sphere, you also needed the antitrust and anti-monopoly laws to safeguard against concentration of economic power. Because you don’t want an autocrat of trade in the same way that you don’t want a monarch."

I tried going back and forth between Stewart and the national championship game. Got a kick out of Fox News suggesting since the path of totality included border crossings, migrants might sneak in during the 4 minutes of totality, and Stewart suggesting they could just wait for nightfall, hahaha….

The Fox News host linking the eclipse to migrant crossings was a face palm for sure, but it wasn't as bad as Sunny Hostin on The View. She insisted the eclipse was due to climate change. She also said the earthquake in New Jersey and the emergence this year of Cicadas was climate change. It fell to Whoopi Goldberg to correct her on air on all three points, to which Hostin countered that Whoopi's science wasn't in line with what she had read. It is worth noting that bubbleheaded mental midget Sunny Hostin is a lawyer who has successfully passed the bar exam.

Nah, unlike you I don't get my ENTIRE knowledge base from Steve Colbert and John Stewart. His is a comedian lol. It's no wonder why you were too brain dead to know the difference between a rap video and reality. I mean, all you had to do was click the tweet but you're so easy to manipulate by comedians and rap artist you didn't even think to question something so amazingly stupid. That's like bottom of the barrel intelligence and it shows how you lack bacis critical thinking skills to even question the dumbest of tweets. Proof of how easy you are to manipulate. Stewarts a little more intelligent than being sarcastic about you admitting to be a pedophile like you did(you did, there is no denying it, YOUR words before I get banned, you...admitted it). Here is my evidence before I get banned if I do and these few pages also show blatant trolling by fish, log, thriller and sardines. All of whom call me a troll without an ounce of evidence or truth. They call me a troll because they cannot debate. It's a coping mechanism and nothing more than terrible insecure bullying. I provide evidence that they are the real trolls, while they can't provide a single example of me lately(not saying I am completely innocent in the past but not recently).
