Off-Season Rumblings

The Jazz don't have anyone in media that would do that. If you write about the Jazz your interest is in keeping it kosher. See Sarah Todd's article were she graded Jordan Clarkson's season a B+.

The Jazz wouldn't suffer any negative consequences outside of an initial PR hit.
Giving someone you like a generous grade is different than looking past something you find morally reprehensible. It will be more than just an initial PR hit and if dude has another incident (something that is like a coin flip imo) dude could be suspended indefinitely and you’d be taking a much bigger “pr hit” for jumping into bed with a guy that had known issues.

I think you are being really naive to how these things typically play out.

After we won like 12-13 games at one point.
I was talking about the trade deadline trades and how I wish we wouldn't have done them. We made those trades and then lost more than every team in the league and got the number 10 pick for all those losses.

How frustrated would you be though if we don't make those trades and we never see Hendricks and Brice get consistent minutes at all? The trades were also about getting young guys consistent run and keeping our pick.

Maybe Ryan is gearing up to move the team to Seattle so he can focus on his true hobby, collecting major league franchises. Baseball and football next, y'all!!

Fair. Though I didn't care about Brice getting minutes.

What are everyone's thoughts on Brandon Ingram? Seems like that trade is inevitable. Should the Jazz be players? In theory, Jazz could renegotiate+extend Lauri and Ingram in the same summer. IMO, Siakam is the best reference as a borderline all star with one year left on his deal. Ingram probably has more value than Siakam as he is younger.

Siakam trade package:
Bruce Brown
2024 IND first (currently 19th pick)
2026 IND first (top 4 protected)

Let's be generous and say that Bruce Brown is worth a first (I don't think he is). Is Ingram worth 3+ FRP value? I think NOP would have some interest in Sexton and Kessler. Do we want to give up Sexton in this scenario? Kessler I think would be put into the deal and would be considered a FRP value.

I was in, but I think I'm out the more I've thought about it.

Only if this is the first of moves with the second one being the bigger one. Think of Ray Allen->Kevin Garnett series of moves that shot Ainge's Boston in another orbit. No idea who the second bigger fish would be... Giannis? Luka?(doubt it) ... Is Ja redeemable? And is he gettable?

I think your chances of getting everything to happen at once, like Ainge did with KG+Allen, is extremely slim. We're going to need a miracle no matter what we do....Idk if it's better to wait on the miracle happening first or make sure that if/when the miracle happens you're good enough/have enough so that you're a contender. For example, TOR getting Kawhi through trade. TOR was kind of a laughing stock for years, but they maintained a level where their miracle turned into a ring. So do you pass on Ray Allen if you don't have KG first, or do you get Ray Allen anyways so that when you get KG you are a contender.

I'm personally low on Ingram as a player, but he's an interesting name for sure. He's been around forever but is younger than you would think.

I am actually down to trade for Brandon Ingram. I would love to see what he could do playing for Coach Hardy.
