You complain about conservatives not coming on here and debating policies and ideas. Trump is doing that in this clip. It’s not hard to follow along. He is ripping the idea of having electric tanks because of weather, distance, weight and size while trying to make a couple of jokes.
I would debate you on this subject right now. I’m not for electric tanks at all, not until there is much more improvement in battery technology. I agree with him on all these factors.
Just because Trump says something, your opinion will be the complete opposite. Your response to this idea that diesel tanks are better than electric tanks is put the person who thinks diesel is better into nursing homes or hospice.
You didn’t even debate the factors he brought up. You could have went with it would reduce the cost (human and moving) of logistics of diesel in war zones. Or could have went with a hybrid solution.
If you want to debate, don’t use MAGA, Trump or any other scary right wing word. Just debate on facts or the context of what the other person is saying.

Data is simply another word for information. Just because you don’t like particular information or it falsifies your preheld beliefs doesn’t mean it isn’t information.
We are not a democracy. We are a republic and prior to about 15 years ago that wasn't a controversial statement. "I pledge allegiance to the flag ... and to the republic for which it stands..."
I don't disagree that we have elements of democracy but only one branch was truly democratic and the head of another branch is semi-democratic. It is technically correct to refer to our system of government as a democratic republic, but that isn't the same as being a democracy. The reason we are not a democracy is because both the democratically elected branch, and the head of the executive branch, and even the popular will of the people are all subservient to the US Constitution.
An idea can have broad popular support, be drafted into a bill passed by a majority of the people's elected representatives, and confirmed by the elected head of the executive branch only to be struck down as unconstitutional. The parts of our government with elements of democracy are beneath, below, overruled by, less powerful than a structure well shielded from democracy. That makes us a republic by definition.

Agreed on this clip he brought up a salient topic. But to be fair you ignored the other clips where he does sound like a lunatic. But both parties have the same problem in varying degrees, they are trying to get us to elect a geriatric senior who should be telling his great grandchildren rambling stories. Not using those rambling stories to govern the greatest country in the free world. We are so ****ed.

I want to point this out because you’ve fooled a few on here to think that you’re not a MAGA trumper but a rational conservative. I don’t see it that way at all. You could prove me wrong. Conservatives actually have principles. A few valid points:
1. Out of all those clips you pick this one out to try and debate. As if those other clips aren’t bad. As if they don’t exist. Whether it’s deporting 10 people while accidentally deporting the one legal person here or letting Ukraine be killed off by Trump’s buddy, Putin. I notice you didn’t address Trump’s sharks and batteries clip or Ronny “Johnson” clip. Why?
2. Something both you and AL do a lot of and it’s dishonest, is remove context. This isn’t the first time Trump has rifted about electric tanks. Having non-tactical hybrid vehicles on base for transportation doesn’t sound like a bad idea. Yet, Trump exaggerates and lies, and makes it sound like our “woke military that loves LGBTs and blacks is now selling out our security for electric battle tanks while other less woke militaries continue to use good old fashioned manly fossil fuel powered tanks. Libs are weak impotent green queers!” There’s valuable MAGA context here that fuels his populism (fascism tbh). He’s not debating the merits of hybrid or electric powered vehicles. He’s using this as yet another point in his culture war. He’s creating a narrative that “MAGA strong people use fossil fuels while the other side uses dumb impotent wimpy unrealistic forms of energy. And I bet they also use vaccines, love gays, use wimpy shower heads, are black, etc.”
3. You don’t have to defend Trump here. There was a time when Republicans believe in climate change and didn’t make it a culture issue (John McCain actually made it a big part of his campaign In 2008). Where have all the conservatives gone? Have they all joined the Democratic coalition or MAGA? Mass deporting millions? Cmon. Criticizing the development of electric and hybrid vehicles to try and fuel the culture war? Stupid but effective at rallying the base. Throw Ukraine to the bear? Reagan is rolling in his grave. And these are merely the more coherent pts. Try and make sense of the sharks and batteries thing. Or Ronny Johnson. Completely indefensible.

We don’t need to pick out one clip out of… I don’t know how many collectively we’ve posted over the last few days, to defend Trump. Why didn’t he address the deportation clip? Or Ronny Johnson? Dementia anyone? Or the shark and batteries one from a few days back?
We shouldn’t both sides this either. Admittedly, I don’t think you specifically do this. You even said “both parties do this to varying ideas”, which isn’t wrong at all. One side deliberately lies and deceives its viewers to create a completely alt reality, like the recent parachute clip of Biden that was cropped or the entire lying about dominion lawsuit from Fox News. If Biden had said or done any of those clips listed above, we’d have a several week scandal with countless demands for Democrats to replace him. With Trump? We just sorta shrug it off. “Sure we he wants to throw Ukraine to Russia, but watcha gonna do? Sure he wants to deport millions of people and some legal residents, but you know, ya gotta MAGA amiright?”
These are insane ideas. But it makes sense in this alt reality RW media has created. And that’s when he’s actually coherent enough for us to understand. No other candidate would be treated with kid gloves like this. Who would be defending Biden if he sounded like this?
Why don’t conservatives stand up against this? Stand for something. You don’t need to defend MAGA or Trump. Conservatives used to have ideas, expectations, and principles. They don’t have to defend Trump’s nonsensical authoritarian soup. They could call this **** out. I’m guessing that most by now have become Democrats or have sorted/sold themselves out to MAGA.
