Is Cody too similar to Hendricks?

Pretty sure Ainge didn’t waste a #9 pick in a stacked draft last year on an “off ball role player”.

Pretty sure he wants him to develop into much more than that.
Off ball 3 and D guys are insanely valuable and that was always the expectation with Hendricks. We were hoping to get a really good switchy defender that can hit the 3 ball and finish at the rim when cutting to the hoop.

He’s also 3nD+ because he can protect the rim and switch across (at least 3, but eventually as many as 5) positions (saying nothing of the rebounding). Very short list of players that can just do those things and nothing else.

If Hendricks and Williams become more like each other (in the good ways) then we ****ing scored twice.

This.
I think we nailed it

His floor is 3&D

Cody is more like a less athletic version of Paul George when he first entered the league. He needed add more weight and did add more weight. Or Michael Finley.

Hendricks is more like a RoCo/longer but thinner PJ Tucker who’s never gonna be quick or skilled enough to play on the perimeter.

I had the same thought about Paul George, except i had this impression that he was a lot more athletic entering the draft, hence his rise late during that draft.

wtf just happened here?

Heyo Tony, now you're doing straight-up community service around here?
Tony had always been around Jazzfanz and had publically said that he enjoyed posting here.

I think it’s one of the best thing about the Jazzfanz right now being able to reach out to a plugged in source and get insights and clarifications on certain things relating to the Jazz.

it's really unfortunate that you came back and recommitted to this shtick.
