Does Lauri Get Dealt Before The Season Starts?

Just an FYI I tried to listen to some podcasts on the Warriors side to see what they were saying. They are real dumb and not helpful. There were a couple things I was just left thinking “these guys don’t know how things work at all”. It was like when Locke talks about the cap… just cringe. The locked on Pelicans and locked on Kings are solid. Pelicans guy is all in on Lauri and had a great proposal imo. Kings guy basically saying he’d be beyond shocked if Murray was in the deal and that means the Kings may not have enough.

Hard deadlines are usually required before real movement happens. Outside of Lauri’s Aug. 7th renegotiation period opening up, where’s the deadline? Unless a team realizes that they need to step up the offer now, or risk this playing out over months instead of days, I don’t think it happens yet.

Which I’m okay with. Either keep him yourselves and extend him, or hold firm on an absolute godfather haul. I’m content with either of those two options.

The Jazz have to start spending some money soon. Whether it’s in FA or trade. Quite a bit of stuff is dependent on this Lauri trade happening or not happening.
