Does Lauri Get Dealt Before The Season Starts?

Which I’m okay with. Either keep him yourselves and extend him, or hold firm on an absolute godfather haul. I’m content with either of those two options.

The deadline is other teams move on… which may not scare us long term but if Dubs move on to their next target and Kings move on Ingram instead then it’s really just the Spurs right now. So you extend and then see what happens… in the meantime what are you doing with your cap space? Salary dumps… useable players? Like the market won’t wait for DA. With Don the market had already moved so we waited. So I think the market moves this week with or without DA and at that point you are in August and need to do the extension most likely. Which I’m fine with too… just don’t think the will they won’t they will last forever this time.

Wiggns/Moody
Lauri/Hield
Draymond/ Anderson
Looney/Jackson-Davis

That's with GP2/Pods/Kuminga going it the Jazz.

Is that a championship roster even if Draymond stays sane, complete health across the board, and Wiggins has an Ok year? Even with three of the best shooters in the NBA they still lack shooting
 
I think the Warriors and Kings have the most incentive to go all-in after Lauri. I think one of them ultimately ends up paying the price that it would take.

What’s the alternative? Waste the last years of Steph being a play-in team?

I think it's going to be tough for a team to pull the trigger on the type of deal that Ainge will accept with Lauri only in a 1 year deal.

I think it is a 5-8 seed roster if healthy.

sounds like Kuminga isn't part of their pitch, though.

With Lauri and Kuminga, they'd find a way to play small-ball. It's the Dray-Looney combo that kills their shooting/space. It works well enough for stretches because the ball is in Dray's hands. But when it counts, they need the small-ball/5-out combos.

Would suck watching Wiggins play 35 minutes per night though.

At least we would have got rid of Clarkson though.
