Cant resign him til next month so we will have a new wave of Lauri rumors leading up to the extensionBut for real… I think if it doesn’t happen soon that we re-sign him. I think Lauri is holding up a good chunk of the market.

Even the best batters strikeout sometimesYou also said we should give THT 80M.
The deadline is other teams move on… which may not scare us long term but if Dubs move on to their next target and Kings move on Ingram instead then it’s really just the Spurs right now. So you extend and then see what happens… in the meantime what are you doing with your cap space? Salary dumps… useable players? Like the market won’t wait for DA. With Don the market had already moved so we waited. So I think the market moves this week with or without DA and at that point you are in August and need to do the extension most likely. Which I’m fine with too… just don’t think the will they won’t they will last forever this time.Hard deadlines are usually required before real moment happens. Outside of Lauri’s Aug. 7th renegotiation period opening up, where’s the deadline? Unless a team realizes that they need to step up the offer now, or risk this playing out over months instead of days, I don’t think it happens yet.
Which I’m okay with. Either keep him yourselves and extend him, or hold firm on an absolute godfather haul. I’m content with either of those two options.
What’s the alternative? Waste the last years of Steph being a play-in team?Warriors if they do a Lauri Deal:
Curry/Melton
Wiggns/Moody
Lauri/Hield
Draymond/ Anderson
Looney/Jackson-Davis
That's with GP2/Pods/Kuminga going it the Jazz.
Is that a championship roster even if Draymond stays sane, complete health across the board, and Wiggins has an Ok year? Even with three of the best shooters in the NBA they still lack shooting
Yeah. If I was a Warriors fan I'd take that option over being ****ed til 2031What’s the alternative? Waste the last years of Steph being a play-in team?
I think it's going to be tough for a team to pull the trigger on the type of deal that Ainge will accept with Lauri only in a 1 year deal.I think the Warriors and Kings have the most incentive to go all-in after Lauri. I think one of them ultimately ends up paying the price that it would take.
I think it is a 5-8 seed roster if healthy.Warriors if they do a Lauri Deal:
Curry/Melton
Wiggns/Moody
Lauri/Hield
Draymond/ Anderson
Looney/Jackson-Davis

sounds like Kuminga isn't part of their pitch, though.Warriors if they do a Lauri Deal:

Would suck watching Wiggins play 35 minutes per night though.Hell yeah. Three unprotected 1sts and 2 swaps plus Podz and Moody. Sign me the **** up.
