It was a crowded field and things just weren’t right In 2020. She was a former prosecutor trying to run in 2020, not a great time to run as a black female prosecutor, considering the state of things in our country. Throughout our history we see some great presidents emerge in a short time after embarrassing losses.

In 2000 Obama lost a House race, a blowout. Did he ever do anything after that?

In 1960 Nixon lost to JFK. Then lost his bid to become gov of CA in 1962. His political career appeared over and done with. Along the same lines, LBJ looked like a political loser in 1960, as he had maxed out as Senate Majority Leader when he joined the JFK ticket. He ended up signing the CRA, VRA, and Great Society legislation. Like Medicare and Medicaid? Think blacks should be treated as equals? Thank LBJ.

Do we want to talk about Truman, TR, and Lincoln?

“I believe wholeheartedly Donald Trump and Butler County’s JD Vance are the last chance to save our country, politically,” Lang said at a rally in Middletown, Ohio, the hometown of the first-term senator and GOP vice presidential nominee.

“I’m afraid if we lose this one, it’s going to take a civil war to save the country, and it will be saved. It’s the greatest experiment in the history of mankind, and if we come down to a civil war, I’m glad we got people like … Bikers for Trump on our side,” he continued.

He says all this stuff to the culty hardcore maga trumpers.
Then realizes that those kinds of statements will hurt him with most Americans. So he says:


"These statements do not accurately reflect my views.”

For those thinking that Kamala replacing Biden as the Democratic nominee is illegal or something (Mike Johnson, JD Vance etc) I have good news.
Biden was never the Democratic nominee for the 2024 election. The DNC still have not nominated anyone.

“The Democratic Party did not have an official nominee yesterday, and the same can be said today,” David Becker, a former Justice Department attorney and election law expert, told CNN. “Until the delegates vote, Democratic Party rules state that there is no official Democratic nominee. There was no one to be ‘replaced’ on the ballot because there is nothing to replace yet.”

“Before the media gets rolling, let me be clear: The Democratic nominee for president will be on all 50 state ballots,” Elias wrote Sunday in a post on X. “There is no basis for any legal challenge. Period.”

Many other Republicans, however, have demanded that Biden resign as president now rather than try to serve out the remainder of his term, including Sen. JD Vance, Trump’s running mate.

I think I see where JD Vance is confused. He thinks when Biden says he doesn't want to be president in 2025 that means he doesn't want to be president in 2024. He doesn't understand that those are two different years and two different terms.
Or maybe trump has him confused. trump has probably already told Vance about his idea that the if elected trump will be president for life so Vance probably thinks that biden has to remain president forever or something.
