Clarkson is Here to Stay

Still think he’s ~neutral value for certain fits. Which could also be translated as no teams are trying to trade for Clarkson.

But yeah, he’s probably here this year. Really good tank commander.

I think he will have to be dealt at the deadline after he proves he can be a 6th man of the year type player again. So basically not shoot sub 33% from 3

Alternatively, he won't, once he proves he can't be.
I think he probably will. Clarkson has been a positive offensive player most of his career and he has improved his all-around offensive skillset the last two years. If he shoots 33% he's a good bench sparkplug who can help your offense. If he shoots 35% or above he's a wildly positive offensive player.

No surprises here, he's 32 and was one of the worst players in the NBA last season. Nobody is going to want that....maybe power of friendship can change that.

On the brightside, it will be difficult to be as bad as he was again.

We can pray for the Lakers to suck and make a desperation move mid season where we get the protections dropped in ‘27.

I think it's somewhat likely that Clarkson bounces back at least a little and can reclaim some value by the trade deadline. He takes some pressure off of our young players on offense and doesn't hurt the tank because of his defense. I don't mind keeping him until the deadline.

How many 32 year old guards improve year over year?
