Says the right wing Trump nut job....I'd say that says more about your ability to judge good storytelling.

It is when correcting the perceived sins of the franchises informs the stories, which is what is happening.Yeah, I still dont think that's a big deal at all. That's not making stories better or worse IMO.
I get what y'all are saying, but I still view Disney's failures as the inability to make new franchises, not what they are doing/not doing to their old IP's.It is when correcting the perceived sins of the franchises informs the stories, which is what is happening.
I see that too. But I also see what they are doing to the existing franchises and I'm not a fan. This is why they are losing viewership and their movies are failing. Putting platform and agenda over the story, so the stories suck, and being lazy enough to just rework old **** to correct the perceived sins of the past instead of, again, putting out a good story.I get what y'all are saying, but I still view Disney's failures as the inability to make new franchises, not what they are doing/not doing to their old IP's.
It was Rachel Zegler speaking on Snow White. That whole thing has been an irresistible train wreck. Rachel vowed this Snow White wouldn’t be saved by a prince and although it had a prince in it, the decision had not been made yet to keep him in. Instead the story would be about Snow White becoming the best girl boss ever by being “fearless, fair, brave, and true”.One of the leads of one of the remakes, can't remember which one, said publicly she hated the movie and was excited that Disney wanted to change the story to fit the message she wanted it to have.
iawtpOh, and the dish served to the woman with allergies, the one who picked this restaurant because they state boldly that they take allergies seriously, who then stressed their allergies and verified that her dish would be safe, was not cross contaminated with allergens, they were put in the dish and not just a little by accident. There were zero ****s given about her allergy concerns. They killed her. Someone should be charged criminally IMHO.
You didn't make it well. In fact you kind of shot your own argument in the face.I don't know if I made my point well.

SJW isn't a synonym for diverse. Most SJWs are white. It is the 'W' part of SJW that makes SJWs so annoying. The corporate mandates you say are ruining the art, that is the 'W'. It isn't marketing types who are pushing the SJ envelope which is why the end product is falling flat.
If you think there should be fewer SJ mandates being handed down by corporate leadership at Disney, then I think most of us are on the same page. I do find it humorous that you think SJWs of 20 years ago wanted more boobs in film.
I'm a child of the 80s (born in the late 70s) and if a movie had an R rating they were going to get their money's worth and that meant boobies. Comedy? Boobies! Romantic comedy? Sex scene with boobies! Action? Boobies! Horror? Boobie jump scares!I'm saying the same execs that are now "SJWs" were the same guys demanding more boobs 20 years ago. It's the same type of person, trying to jay-walk their way to success. They have no investment if the mandate is more diversity or not, it's just what they think audiences want, derived from some BS focus group testing and their own unearned confidence.
It's not Diversity --> Bad
It's Corporate hands in the creative process --> Bad
It's immaterial what the content of the mandates happen to be, diversity, boobs it's all inorganic and cynical, and hurts the final piece.
