This sounds reasonable. It's not that anyone has a problem with the cheering at the start. But cheering him when he scores is dirty. What if he hadn't air-balled the game winner, would they have cheered him?

That's your opinion and that's just fine. My opinion is that snagging Loveridge is a huge coup for the Utes and a sign of things to come in future recruting battles. I'm also the opinion that even though Utah has been awful, I think they've surpassed many expectations considering that before the season started, Coach K had to deal with his best big man Foster being injured for the majority of the season and then later having to kick off possibly his best player in Jiggy Watson. If you would have told me those things would have happened headed into this season, I'd have had serious doubts that Utah would win 1 single game.
Yes, the Pac is having a down year, but you lose all credibility if you honestly think that the Big Sky Conference is better from top to bottom. And while the Pac will most likely improve, so will Utah.

Not to mention the clamourings there must be by the masses around the world to watch replays of the BYU-Idaho game on BYUtv. Again, HUGE exposure for you there.
I'm sure you love to get into a BCS game, but it's not happening. Enjoy your 9-10 seasons, yearly trips to the Armed Forces and Kraft Fight Hunger bowls and all of that awesome exposure you're getting. And you better be careful what you wish for. If the independent schedule continues to get stronger, BYU goes from an annual 10 win team to more like 6 or 7.

I will only comment on Loveridge, since thats what I know. Loveridge wanted 2 things out of the school he was going to go to; immediate PT and a "major conference". He was ONLY offered by one team in a major conference (not necessarily quality of competition) and that was Utah. His other offers were BYU, Colo St, Utah St and Weber. BYU has Davies for another year and added depth at the 3-4 positions as JLove is a tweener. Real simple. Not exactly a coup, but the kid is good. You can debate me on this all you want but lets just say I'm "connected" in this regard.

Just taking a shot in the dark here, but people's love or hatred for Jimmer seems more based on the underlying issues of Utah's clashing cultures and not the actual kid from New York.
Maybe it's just cause you take everything so damn personal that you've decided to boo Jimmer based upon differing beliefs. So maybe, just maybe, you're not actually booing Jimmer. You're booing that one (or more) Mormon(s) that offended/annoyed you over the years.

After reading this thread, I have no doubt that the OP and some others who have posted in this thread belong to the Draper School Board. They recently found the mascot "cougar" offensive to middle-aged women. They have now changed the school's mascot to the Chargers.

Well obviously the OP is tarded. No use in responding to his trollish post. But some on here have accused those posting "anti-Jimmer" comments of being deep down, anti-Mormon. That may be the case for some. You did this very thing in response to Numbs post. He didn't mention Mormon's once, but you assumed his critique of Jimmer supporters at the game was anti.
Again, some are being overly sensitive here and making some pretty big, disturbing assumptions.
