Lauri really just has to get smarter with how he attacks in ISO. The thing that hurts him the most is that he really is just an extremely mediocre passer. Not only is he not great at instinctually reading the defense to make passes, he also a pretty inaccurate passer when he does actually see the passes.

Juzang deserves to be, but he just cant currently. Him and Filipowski are the most hurt by Collins/Clarkson being on the roster.

I definitely get why Juzang isn't playing. I think he eventually beats out Brice for minutes or Clarkson gets traded.

I'm pretty sure we have only played Flip at the 4 so far? If Collins gets traded/hurt, I would assume Eubanks gets most of those minutes.

Collins is probably going to get like 25ish MPG, so I would assume 10 would go to Eubanks and Flip would get the rest, on average.

It might not ever be his thing. I remember a stretch of games last year where his passing looked pretty good, seems so long ago now.

Not being able to put Flip and Juzang into rotation is definitely a champagne problem.

I'm happy both of them are inked for the next 4 years... but regardless of their draft pedigree we have to treat them as legit prospects so somethings gotta give at some point.
It's not about pedigree or where they were drafted. They just play behind two vets who got relegated to the bench and have to play. You can't bench those dudes and give them next to no minutes.

IMO, he can’t even get to the passing part because he can’t hold possession and establish position. He’s not even getting doubled. Whenever there’s a small switched onto him, they just push him, get physical, and he almost always loses the. Lauri looks like he’s in a panic even before he gets the ball and is just trying to seal off the defender.

He’s definitely not a natural iso player…we’ll see if it improves at all this year.

These last two games have definitely been a lower level of play from all teams involved. I’m ready for the regular season. Seeing a lot of people say that was a serious game, but to me it was really sloppy and there were definitely some guys just going through the motions.

Pretty stoked on last night. Having not watched them since last spring, to me Walker looks to be a different man, Sexton is even more of a damn stud and Keyonte has more polish were my biggest take-aways.

Dudes was giggling and laughing… it ain’t that deep lol. The crowd got hyped and teams rolled with their main guys to close but both teams were not taking it all that serious.

I am laughing at how much Jazz twitter is reading into the preseason. Detroit blasted the Suns the other night lol. Just let it breathe.

We are giving out a lot of youth minutes. You can argue Cody or Hendricks being better if you want, but I would say they play because of projected upside / pedigree.

Juzang at least would be in the rotation if we were handing out minutes purely based on who is the best NBA player right now.

Yeah it’s kind of wild to watch a game in isolation and then come back to learn that apparently it was an epic meeting between two giants lol. I thought it was a fun game, really fun if you were sitting in one of the first few rows hoping to catch the ball.

I don’t really mind it, it’s all we have and the NBA should be fun at some point.

Does he look different? He looks basically the same as he always has. He did hit his 2 FTs, but he's still an underwhelming lob target. Think there were 4 lobs the Jazz didn't connect on with Walker. Not saying they were all his fault, but they happened. He's also still incapable of making any kind of move with the ball to get to the rim if he isn't perfectly setup. Also immediately looks to pass anytime he gets the ball anywhere on the court. Just wish he would attempt to go at a size mismatch and draw a foul at some point with a solid hard dribble drop step kind of move. Just attempt something that is slightly outside his comfort zone to expand his game, nothing drastic, but just a bit more

Not saying that necessarily to be negative. If he is just the best version of what he is and playing hard more consistently, that is a very nice player. But he seems to be what he is without any big leaps

Hendricks and Cody are definitely better defensively than Juzang

Walker seems to question himself. Last night he was confident and knew what he needed to do. His screens were strong, he was boxing out and generally looked engaged. I bet he's put a lot of work into the little things. Third year in the league, If he can stay focused and confident he has a chance of improving offensively but if he goes through ups and downs with his confidence that's a huge red flag for his future.
