Player's health should always be a priority, but the solution is not to have a half assed regular season. Nah Podz went to the staff and was like "you can't do this to me tonight... the home crowd here is nuts and also all the Warriors twitter guys are gonna be like "we kept the kid who got 12/7 over the guy who went for 35 and buried us????"

People here were acting like Podz was the messaih as well. For two weeks Podz was the greatest basketball player of all time.

I must have been imagining the countless posts and conversations I had with people how Podz is irreplaceable in any trade package and any trade without him is a non starter. If on there was a thread where I had all these conversations. Shame it doesn’t exist…..

He’s a good, young role player on a rookie deal. Excellent for a team in GSW’s situation but not this crazy irreplaceable player for a team in a complete opposite situation.

No "they" werent. Some wanted Podz in the deal or no deal. I dont think anyone was even subtracting FRPs to get him.

There are several, long discussions back in that trade thread that included Podz. I know because was in them. There was extreme glazing of Podz in comparison to the other possible assets in that deal. Kuminga and Moody were worth a ham sandwich but without Podz it was a complete nonstarter.

The only way for a player to be a must in a trade conversation is for him to be some basketball messiah ?

The way people thought of him compared to other players and assets in the deal you would have thought he was some budding superstar.
