What's new

Takes on the 1st and 2nd-year players....and progress if there happens to be any

Hardy went full nuclear meltdown on Key and a couple of others. Clarkson's out at least a week so maybe Juzang and Flip can carry the load. Hardy is still probably frothing at the mouth.
When is Collier back? I want to see him get minutes at PG, especially some with Keyonte to see how he looks as a secondary instead of on ball

He has some fringe All Star potential. It may be unlikely that he actually gets in an ASG (see Jamal Murray and Anfernee Simons). Efficiency will determine Keyonte's overall value. However, the Jazz are a dumpster fire right now, and Keyonte gets undue pressure because he's supposed to make something out of it. No excuse for missing this many shots though.
Since you mentioned them: Keyonte has 13 PPG, 28%-20%, 4 TO stats so far in his second year. Below are the second-year stats for the players you have mentioned:

Jamal Murray: 17 PPG, 45% - 38%, 2.1 TO
Anfernee Simons: 8 PPG, 40% - 33%, 0.9 TO

I am not sure that Keyonte is exactly on that Murray-Simmons trajectory. So far he has been quite a bit worse. Like, I am not sure if he has any skill that is above average for his position. What is exactly supposed to be his strong suit going forward? Shooting, passing, finishing at the rim, defense, playmaking, rebounding, leadership? He seems to be below average in all of them.

Even as a jazz fan it's OK to admit the fact that Mr. Keyonte George isn't very good at basketball.

Brice and Keyonte are both showing they can be complementary shooters and reasonable ball movers. I wouldn't set the expectation that they need to be primary scorers. Maybe Keyonte can be your third guy.

I wouldn't play him in that role, at least not at that stage. But offensively, he should be able to do everything a guy like Donte Divincenzo can do, and probably a bit more.
I think he's more likely to be a guy like a Clarkson / Donte than he is to ever be a star, which is okay, but the timeline is going to start getting real murky if we can't add some legit young top end talent soon

All the guys we have on the team right now are complementary players. There isn't a guy who you can just give the ball to and have him get you a bucket. (The closest to this at the moment is still Sexton.) There isn't a guy who can beat his defender and generate an advantage for himself or a teammate. Cody shows some of that potential, but he's got to develop his body and game to do that consistently. He's obviously got a long way to go.

Not having anyone that can make life easier for any of the young players is such a disadvantage
