Following Potential 2025 Draftees

Watching the more detailed film highlights, I think that Harper is currently a better defender than VJ. VJ has potential to be a special defensive talent in the NBA someday, but he's currently not disciplined enough to do a good job. He's often in the wrong place or making the wrong play. His defensive highlights are special, but the film I'm watching shows Harper making the more effective defensive play more often.

I really love VJ, but he's definitely more of a project. I think you can draft Harper and he can make a positive impact pretty immediately. VJ might take a lot longer before he's a positive contributor.

Not concerned on Flagg at all. Adams is old enough to be his dad and a true physical specimen. Harper looks great. Not a monster athlete but seems like a good functional athlete. Big body Brunson feels right. The shot is a little goofy but he should be able to clean it up. Guessing Coop/Harper end up 1 and 2 on draft night.

So could there be a chance that by draft day Cooper Flagg may not be the clear cut #1 pick
He does seem to have some flaws in his game that are being exposed as season progresses

I worry about VJ's ability to change speeds and beat guys if he doesn't just blow by them. Of course, it's nice that he can often just blow by them. There just doesn't seem to be much nuance to his game at the moment.

I think he's the #1 pick. He can do a lot of Tatum things plus be a game-changing defensive player.

Tony Jones made a reference to Brandon Roy with Harper, which I thought was interesting.

I can’t shake the feeling that Egor is The Chosen One (for us).
I hope so. That would be awesome

Tre Johnson should be better than Keyonte. It's not a direct comparison, since Keyonte is a combo-guard and Tre is a 2-guard.
Kon Kneuppel should be better than Brice. He has better feel and timing on the ball and a quicker release on his jumper.
There are a bunch of defense-oriented energy bigs in the mid-1st round onward, and none of them are quite selling me--Asa Newell, JT Toppin, Donnie Freeman, etc.
I wouldn't bet on Derik Queen at this point. I think he's a backup.
Boogie Fland has some skill, but he's small and is forced to take some tough attempts.
I'd be curious about Carter Bryant at Arizona in the 2nd half of the 1st round.
