Utah Hockey Club?

Love how the announcers are as good at calling a fight as they are a hockey match.

Saw a great doco arguing for the league to stop pushing enforcers out of the game, arguing that concussions in hockey are significantly worse now that cheap shots have no consequence.

Is that a good omen for the Jazz or a bad omen. Does this mean that the state of Utah is lucky now, or does this mean that the state of Utah used all of it's luck on it's hockey team?
The latter, I’m afraid.

Well the Utah Hockey Club just got a stupid official name so maybe that balances things out a little?
It's like getting in a car accident and feeling so happy that the insurance covered it.

You'll be paying for it, for sure, with increased premiums.

I'm afraid our future lottery odds are contingent on paying back Ryan's answered prayers on Mammoth lottery luck.

Back payment theory? @Handlogten's Heros

2 questions: first, did they ever pick a real name or is this it? and is this still a thing even?

… I’m cool with Mammoth after seeing the presentation. I like that they basically kept the same colors (I also love those colors irrespective of this). Logo’s kinda cool. Tusk looks like a U.

I don’t know if there is any connection to Utah with Mammoths but that’s probably just fine.

Apparently there is a long history of Mammoths in Utah. Who knew?

This is kind of funny, from that article...

Utah owners Ryan and Ashley Smith said in a statement. "The community chose the Utah Mammoth brand, and it stands as a symbol of who we are, where we came from, and the unstoppable force we're building together."

They do know that Mammoths are extinct, right?

We came from Mammoths! The Mormon pioneers rode mammoths down Emigration Canyon into the Salt Lake Valley.
