We've now reached the point (if we can maintain it) that Cooper Flagg is more likely to be drafted a team with a better record than us rather than by us or a team with a worse record than us.

And the point (again if we can maintain our position) that we can no longer improve our odds of drafting Flagg.

Being top 3 in lottery odds is better than not being top 3 in lottery odds. Just let the people be happy.

I have been thinking that a healthy Hornets team could be top-6 in the East. This sucks. Hopefully Ball and Williams stay healthy. Feels like they could fairly easily sneak into a play-in spot in the East, still.

For sure. Wasn't trying to suggest otherwise, though I'm sure I let my cynicism about faith in draft odds come through a little too much.

But, if we can maintain at least the third position (a very big IF, to be sure), all the tank jockeying is now about about likelihood of drafting 5th, 6th, or 7th. The Cooper Flagg race has already been won (to the extent that any team can win it before the lotto). So that's surely a cool thing.
