Following Potential 2025 Draftees

I didn't realize that Fland has been dealing with a hand injury since starting SEC play. That probably explains a little of his shooting numbers not looking so good.

From the games I've watched he also gets a lot, "grenades" where he's given the ball at the end of the shot clock and asked to do something with it. That Arkansas team is really pretty bad and he's asked to carry a huge load for that offense.

Excuses, excuses, I know, but context is important.

it's fine if you don't like him as a prospect, i'm lukewarm on him myself and we all have prospects we don't like, but he's been damn good at georgia.
He's put up some scoring numbers but I think he is trash on defense. The offense isn't good enough for me. I see nothing special that has him backend of the lotto. End of the first... whatevs. I like Sorber a lot more. Heard some of his back story and it really shouldn't change my assessment but it has. He has been through it and I'm sure has a perspective that will lead him to not fumble the opportunity. For me bigs either need to be special scorers, stretch bigs that can hold up, special passers, or special defenders to be drafted in the lotto. Malauch is another guy I can't get a good read on that I'd likely have in the 20s. They can be nba players if they don't have the above traits but are dime a dozen types.

it's nice to see the guys at the very top getting better and turning it up during conference play. most of the other one and done lottery guys have either regressed or stayed pretty stagnant since the start of conference play.

Right now the top 4 are definitely separating themselves while the next group is probably looking a little worse, causing even more separation. I think Tre and VJ are pretty clearly 5-6 for me right now, but 7-20 or so is all up for grabs.

Ace Bailey looking like the guy we were promised and Kas showing out has kinda saved it. Still intrigued with VJ as well.

He has risen his level significantly in conference play. Obviously he's making shots, but his shot distribution has also become more convincing (attempts at the rim and from 3). I've been a skeptic, but he's answering a lot of the concerns. His mid range shot making was always elite, some of the best I've ever seen, but he wasn't able to utilize his talents to get more efficient shots early on.

At this point, I'd compare him to Tatum with significantly worse BBIQ and guard skills (handle/passing especially), but probably better physical tools.

I think there's a fairly sizable drop off after the top 4.
