2024-25 Trade Rumors Thread

People out here talking like Sexton is pretty much the same player as Fox. What the hell is happening?!??

Sexton has always been overrated by Jazz fans, but this... this is true insanity.

Collin still doesn't have anything resembling a market while Fox being on the block is front page news on ESPN.

You're right. He's not the same. He's actually better when you factor in value of contracts.

Fox’s assist numbers are pretty poor for the usage so I think there’s something to be desired there. He’s also a worse three point shooter than Sexton with a lower TS% (which I think is more an indicator that Sexton could be scoring more on lower efficiency; Sexton is crazy efficient for a guard).
They also don't need playmaking that badly. They Sabonis, one of the best non-guard playmakers in the NBA, Monk who has really improved as a playmaker, and DeRozan. Sextons level of passing ability is pretty ideal for their current roster. They need a reliable shooter to space and attack space, which Sexton can do.

Sexton/Collins would be really great for them. I think that deal is probably a no brainer for the Kings. Overall the realism of the deal factors down to which picks the Spurs are giving up and how much Utah/Kings are fighting over the "premium" picks in the deal.

Teams know Sexton cannot be trusted to play under control at critical moments. When you're tanking, that's great... when you're trying to win, less so.

Collin is also too expensive a vet to acquire just for tank commander duties – teams understandably want to lose by playing their own young guys, even if Sexton offers entertainment value.

On contending teams, he only makes sense in a short-leash 8th man gunner role, but his nonexistent defensive impact means that he's, again, too expensive.

I don't see him getting moved unless he's part of some pu-pu platter of meh pieces.

Sexton makes sense there and Collins does too. Listened to a couple guys that cover the team and they won’t want to rebuild. They will want to retool.

Sexton is very different from Fox. Both are lightening fast pgs but that's where the comp stops.

Sexton a great ISO bucket getter who plays far too much 1 v 5 ball and is a decent shooter. Fox is a very mature playmaker with elite speed and a better shot.
Sexton is by far the more superior shooter. The he’ll are you watching?

Then pony your *** up, or your words mean nothing. You lose credibility by the minute.

It’s not @numberica’s finest hour that’s for sure.
