Following Potential 2025 Draftees

Tre Johnson with 32 points and 9 rebounds in a win against #15 Kentucky

He might be closer to 3 than 5 for me right now. I would have a long conversation about him vs Ace Bailey at 3.

With Bailey's shooting percentages catching up to Tre's, I think Bailey would get the nod from most teams, in part due to the defensive upside. But I'd be happy to have Tre on our team. He'd be our best offensive player right away. We'd still need one of these alpha wings, like Dybantsa or Boozer, but Tre would be a very solid Robin to someone's Batman.

He would not be the Jazz's best player offensively right away...

I like him and think he has a lot of potential, but he isn't NBA ready to that extent. Didn't all your ********* you spouted about how good Cody would be from Day 1 at stuff he can't even do teach you anything?

Cody was never going to be ready on day 1. Everyone knows he's a development project. And no, the Jazz don't have a better offensive player than Tre Johnson.

Brother I can bump post about how you said Cody would be getting to the rim and creating his own shot from Day 1.

Tre, as a rookie, is not better offensively than Lauri, Collins, Keyonte, or Sexton next year. This is the kind of analysis I expect from someone who just started scouting any draft yesterday.

And I love Tre, but he's not even shooting 40% from the field in college conference play.

Tre could be our best offensive prospect, but that's even an incredible reach because I doubt he ever becomes better than Lauri.

Great, go do it. I always said that Cody needed to add strength and tighten his handle and that it would take some development work, especially when he showed up at the Combine weighing ~180 lbs.

And any rational person who has followed this stuff for years know that doesn't happen over the course of a few months...

I think Tre is probably on par/maybe even ahead of Ace as an offensive prospect…I think Ace has more potential on defense and just has a much more impressive physical profile.

I think Ace’s effort and defense kind of comes and goes, but if the interviews/intel are good on him I could see him being a good defender in the league.
