Following Potential 2025 Draftees

I just did a little film review (what I could find) for Boogie Fland. I continue to be very high on him and feel like he is being slept on. He is a better defender than I had remembered and one of the better screen navigators in this class.

The risk is that most of his good play came against bad competition, he did play well against some good competition, he just didn't play that many games against high level teams. As a reminder he messed up his hand by his second game in conference play. He really just never had a chance to play many good teams with a good shooting hand. For example, Fears really struggled when he got in to conference play, but had the whole season to figure it out. I think Fland would have done the same.

The film review did show his biggest flaw as someone who can't really finish in the paint when contested. This could potentially limit his upside, but he already has the makings of a nice floater/in between game, and so I'm not really concerned that it will be a huge problem in the league. If he stays in the draft I'm pretty sure he'll be my homer pick. There are quite a few mocks that have him in the second round and he's much better than that. I'm guessing he'll go back to school if he continues to have that kind of draft range, which would be fine so that he can have more opportunities to show out against good teams.

he probably forgot the jazz are still in the NBA.
Younger people on my team at work often talk to me about imposter syndrome.

Which I get, but the world is full of idiots who fail upwards to take inspiration from. If KOC can make millions being **** at covering the NBA with no additional skills or charisma, then don't be so hard on yourself that you don't know something.

I like KOC.

He’s fine. Looks like he’s not doing draft coverage anymore (by far the thing he did that I cared about most) but I’m glad Danny Chau is doing his work now, apparently.
He's definitely still doing draft coverage. Just doesn't focus on it fully til the season is over

Tre's lack of rim pressure and lack of FT's is just so alarming. Same goes for Ace, btw. He's a great jump shooter, but it is an incredibly tough living to be a scorer in the NBA strictly from pullup jump shots. Tre is also the "his team so bad" prospect this year, and honestly that has become the red flag excuse for me. Almost everyone plays in a crappy offense but for some reason 1-2 guys get all their flaws overlooked bc they happened to play in a bad offense. I would be more open to Tre if he was a better prospect outside of his prolific shooting, but he's a really poor prospect otherwise. Ace at least is an elite physical tools guy with defensive potential.
