That's my biggest fear in any trade talk for him.

Could he make us give a 9~14 pick of a loaded draft to a Championship team (already loaded in young talent and high upside picks) that plays in our own division ?
 
If we ever did anything like this, it would be an appropriate solidification of mediocrity. Blow up a team under the guise of not investing anymore into what’s considered a broken product, because it would presumably devastate us for a decade in mediocrity, then end up putting yourself in that position (and worse) by making multiple moves in the name of a higher ceiling.
 
I think this could be a more interesting trade discussion in a year or two when there’s an actual light to the end of that contract. With that said, if we’re planning to trade off sexton, Markennen, Kessler and Collins then sure….why not, bc we will be not good for at minimum 2-4 years

Not sure fans want to wait 4 more years to compete
Jazz need to compete in 2 years

That's not really the point either.

The idea of trading for Paul George is to get assets for taking on his contract. The Jazz could take on his contract because they shouldn't need much cap space while trying to be bad. However, Paul George might be just good enough to keep them from being as bad as they want to be.

Depends if we trade away most our main pieces. Have picks 3 and 5 this year and tben got a top 3 pick next year. Could see the team getting good around year 3-4 but I’m only looking at it with rose colored glasses. I’d be against the trade especially bc I think we aren’t terribly far away

I’d hope most of the speculation on this would be to keep 5 while getting 3. Don’t think the 76ers are going to give that up so hopefully this whole convo is worthless ha
