Following Potential 2025 Draftees

He and Jeremy Woo both have us taking Fears with both Tre and Ace still on the board.

I want to believe the the Jazz have Tre at #3 or #4 on their board. I have to think we're blowing smoke here. Maybe the Jazz are down on Ace and would take Fears if Tre is gone, but Fears over Tre would be a bit shocking to me. The lack of shooting, finishing and defense with Fears raises real questions.

Meanwhile, Washington and Brooklyn, if not also New Orleans, have allegedly been trying to trade up to get Fears. It makes sense that the Jazz would posture as though these teams need to trade with us or get up to 4.

Kon is the favorite at #4....I think he makes the most sense for them. OTOH, they seemingly drafted Salaun for everything besides his ability to play basketball. Kon's biggest strength is how he plays basketball, so I wonder if that's who they will actually go with.

Numbers w/o Flagg are fairly promising as well. I'm 100% sure he could have done more with more opportunity. Guess it just depends on how far you're willing to go with hypothetical Kon with more opportunity. The other side of this is that he also benefitted from being on a such a strong team.

This.

As I've said before – being on that Duke team, with more athletic scoring threats everywhere and the ball moving in what was essentially an equal opportunity offense, turned Kon from a Top 25 prospect to a Top 10 one.

He'll get a rude awakening in the NBA.

My last board before the draft. Again disclaimer - I have seen very limited film(more like highlights of a lot of the players outside the lottery range) so take with a pinch of salt.

For whatever it's worth... if #LockeWatch is still a thing, Locke was pushing hard for not passing on Ace if he's there to take for the Jazz.
