2025 Off-Season Trade Ideas Thread

East teams should absolutely gun for it right now. 3 of the top teams have an achilles injury. ORL went all in....teams like TOR, DET, ATL, and CHO should follow suit and push for Lauri. This is their time.

Doesn’t change the No-Trade after you acquire him. Regardless, if the Suns are willing to part with #10, then I’m having the conversation. . . but I’d be super worried about it.
If you are getting Beal you are getting him knowing he has negative trade value.

Gambo is incredibly locked in with the Suns. If he says they are keeping Green, they are probably keeping Green.
I could see them telling him that as they may not have a current plan and then something coming along that makes more sense. The trade can't be completed until July 6th so they have time to include other teams.

Gambo is reliable though.

He would accept a trade if the buyout/waive is already agreed upon. Would set him up to go wherever he wants and still get paid.
this is the conditions by which you should evaluate a Utah Beal trade. We straight buy him out and write off the cap space for 2 years.

I personally think it's fine. Not sure if it's worth it to the Suns to trade big draft compensation, but I don't have super high hopes for our cap space to begin with. I don't think the other tanking teams are in a position to do this, so we might have an advantage. BKN probably isn't going to want to punt on their cap space so easily.

Honestly, I feel like anyone can talk themselves into contending in the East right now with a few moves. Cleveland still looks primed, but I don't think anyone is going to feel hopeless against them like they would have against say Boston coming into this last season after their last two postseasons.

It would be a little unprecedented given their position and pick, but I could see Charlotte getting loose with the #4 pick. 90% they regret it, but teams also regret being bottom 10 every year for a decade.

I've been listening to a ton of LockedOnHornets and it seems as though their fan base would be all for a push for the playoffs, and this was before the Haliburton injury. Given the actual success rate of a #4 I don't think they would necessarily regret trading it for Lauri. Lauri exceeds the EV and his presence would be timely in this weak East.

If the Jazz played in the East, I'd honestly be be pushing to move forward even with the potential loss of our pick. Things are wide open.

It is super easy NOT to be involved with Beal in any way. Also, having him where he is at only helps our future draft pick. We should look for value elsewhere and not help the Suns at all.

Scotto says Kings have floated Carter out there for a first round pick. Don't get excited @SoberasHotRod , he plays defense. We don't want him.
I would do it for 21, but it's not super encouraging that they are giving up after half a year. They are the Kings though, so I'm not going to hold it against him too much.
