Still slowly bleeding to death on that hill?The NBA is a different game, and it’s more difficult to get rim and FT attempts. The players who can attack the rim in the NBA don’t have issues attacking the rim at a lower level.
NBA teams don't collapse the paint or overhelp every single time an athletic guard starts to drive in half court, especially not in the regular season. Yes, the game has changed, with more emphasis on team defenses, but 1-on-1 responsibilities are still the main thing. Got to stay between your own man and the basket.
College defenses panic and clog up the interior. They're much more willing to give up open 3pt shots as a consequence.
