Following Potential 2025 Draftees

Demin is overvalued in Utah. He is a decent project, but that is about it. He shows flashes and has very good size, but his in-game shooting is poor, he wasn't even the best layer on his college team, and he looks confused as to what to do frequently on the court. Fair value at 21 although I'm sure there would be better fits on the board. Certainly don't give up assets to move up to get him.

I don't know if this is fair. I mean, was Jimmer overvalued in Utah?

Meh I'd be pretty happy coming out of the draft with Demin (not at 5 obviuosly). He has at least one important skill that he is the absolute best in the draft class at. Literally every other player but about 4 we are wondering "if they develop their shot!" If Egor can develop his shot he's a very, very good piece.

No but why even bring that up? Jimmer was by far the best player on his team, didn't only show flashes (won the award for the best player in college basketball) and never looked confused as to what to do on the court.
You seem to be making an apples to oranges comparison when comparing jimmer to Demin.

demin is not overvalued in utah if this board is any indication. plenty of national guys have him anywhere from 11-16 or thereabouts, where it seems like most of JF has him late teens, early 20s. this consensus big board, which is the best compilation of mocks/big boards i've seen has him at 14.
