Again I’m confused by the criteria. If we had drafted SGA would he not be eligible for this either? He went 13th so hard to say he was on the same level of prospect.

But why? Because pre draft analysis was wrong?Correct
Was pre-draft analysis wrong or were those guys development outliers? But why? Because pre draft analysis was wrong?
Jokic wouldn’t count either, I don’t understand why
Development outliers are a guarantee in every draft so chucking them out seems like an odd thing to do.Was pre-draft analysis wrong or were those guys development outliers?
I’m talking strictly consensus as prospects. You’re making this way too complicated lol.
We are making the assessment the day after a player is drafted, not in hindsight after they’ve entered their prime years. That’s what makes them a “prospect”.But why? Because pre draft analysis was wrong?
Jokic wouldn’t count either, I don’t understand why
If he had done that we would have had a few rings and likely kept that team together. But he washed out completely on defense which continues to tank playoff teams to this day. What’s the criteria?
Donovan had great defensive potential when coming out, and an offensive ceiling that no one could have even fathomed. If he had hit his defensive potential and still became the same offensive player, that’s hard to beat.
I thought Kobe was the main comparison. Dante Exum Compared To Kobe. I imagine the general manager who said this is no longer employed. Though Dennis Lindsey was the one who took the gamble on the hype... It's crazy to think Nikola Jokic went 41st in that draft.Dante drew Penny comparisons. But he sucked so bad its hard to say he was the "best" but I think he was very highly touted. I was prepared to **** on this but it feels like at least a 3 way tie.
Kon might have gone first last year. Hell, maybe even Fears. How many drafts does Ace go #1? I’d say last year for sure.
Dylan Harper was on that same Rutgers team and is absolutely a better prospect than Deron Williams was.Deron Williams' Illinois team had a 37-2 record—a winning percentage of 94.7%. Rutgers last year was 15-17—a winning percentage of 46.8%.
I'm a little tired of the crown on Bailey's head when the the last time he impacted winning he was in some high school gym. "Best prospects" have a clear track record on impacting winning, so I'm afraid to tell all you love birds that DWill runs away with this over Bailey.
Not at allDylan Harper was on that same Rutgers team and is absolutely a better prospect than Deron Williams was.
I'll just note that you're presenting a claim as if it isn't debatable. That's fine—because this is teh internet.Dylan Harper was on that same Rutgers team and is absolutely a better prospect than Deron Williams was.
Ya some people seem to misunderstand the assignment. As draft prospects? No
The question as I understand it is "is ace bailey the best draft prospect in jazz history?"But why? Because pre draft analysis was wrong?
Jokic wouldn’t count either, I don’t understand why
It was a while ago but Deron was never considered a top 5 pick to my recommendation till after his ncaa tournament run. Tell me if I’ve got that wrong. In terms of top-tier upside I'll say probably. Deron Williams was pretty special though.
Honorable mention to DeShawn Stevenson. I remember nbadraft.net comped him to Michael Jordan and put out a "mea culpa" like 15 years later, LOL.
