Could the Jazz Milk Washington if The Ace Saga Sours?

I would not blame the media on this, just FYI Art. Windhorst very clearly had talked to the Ainges. This appearance is a response to the media circus and Windhorst's reporting, not something happening that the media is misreporting on.
Givony pushed a narrative that Omar was selling tho... he helped him fan some flames.

Everything is saying that is was just a different flavor of what we've seen time and time again. The Jazz did the right thing. I do think the media is milking it though.
It isn't a different flavor. My hell. The reasons agents angle behind the scenes is to get what the client wants. Omar was angling for what OMAR wants. Was willing to let Ace lose money in the process.

That’s not the guy on the show. It said his name’s Andrew,.

Also Ace’s name’s not on the list..
That guy is just part of whatever agency he works for. He mentions an agent "Danny Green". I googled "Danny Green NBA agent" and that's what came up.

From what I can tell, Ace is part of Lifestyle Agency, which is the agency (or in this case, representation group) Omar started(?) but since he's not an actual agent, he is partnering with an external group to work with him.

Given he reps Bub from the Wizards, they probably chose him partly for that Wizards connection (just assuming)

Because Omar was calling himself and representing himself as Ace's agent and the only one who knew what was going on. That's what forced GSE Worldwide's hand and why they came out with the video, guaranteed. Ainge probably called them up and was like: "Get this circus under control before your client ruins his career and we ride his *** in the G-League through the current presidential administration."

LOL.

Ace was a losing college player with a big ego and a terrible shot selection.

Sexton and Lauri are actual NBA veterans who have proven themselves again and again in the pro game. There is zero guarantee of Ace ever reaching the level of either of those dudes.

Hendricks doesn't belong in this discussion because we still don't know what he is.
They’ve proven themselves? How many playoffs have they been to? They’re basically in the same boat as Ace, players who’ve proven to put up big numbers on poor teams. They remain unproven as far as winning is concerned. And neither are franchise players. Lauri is a nice 2 or 3 maybe on a good playoff team. If Ace is afraid of this current Jazz roster that earned the worst record in the league last year, then maybe professional basketball isn’t for him?

If you're right, then the whole closing sequence of Tony's article is wrong. It seems wrong to me, so, yeah.
Angling happens. Steering your client happens. It can be dirty and what not. This was a manager given too much control and not observing the fiduciary duties of a good manager agent. I believe the adults are now driving the car though.

No. Omar is Ace's "manager" (like E on Entourage, not Ari.) Ace had an E but not an Ari. They went out and found an Ari for a draft, GSE Worldwide. The guy in the video is the president of GSE, the agent Danny Green is a direct report of this dude Andrew. He was likely called in to put out the fires because this has been a disaster.

Can I just say that right now I do not give a **** about what Omar wants? I do not care. It will be fun whenever you leak your dm's, but I truly couldn't care less until that happens so stop telling me about this other side story. I don't need to add anything to that conversation. I don't disagree nor do I have an opinion or something in my dm's that I'm dying to reveal. From what I can see, he's very bad and I hope Ace removes him from his life. But finding the truth about Omar is not something I care about. I trust your reporting on this, got it?

My concern is the Jazz the approach to this "saga". From the Jazz perspective it is a different flavor of the same and that's why they drafted him. They are not letting and agent (or whatever Omar is) dictate their decision. If you're telling me the Jazz should have caved and not drafted Ace, we can talk about that. But otherwise, stop replying to me with this story I'm not interested in discussing.

Rich Paul was LeBron's manager for the longest time before actually becoming an agent. I assume Cooper is trying to do something along those lines where he partners with an outside agency before learning the ropes and becoming certified himself.
