2025 Free Agency Thread

I think the Jazz will bring in a veteran big, like Eubanks or Yurtseven. They need more frontcourt depth, especially if they're moving Collins. It's just hard to predict until trades happen.

I could also see them bring in a PG like a Tre Jones or Malcom Brogdon if they think they need help running the team. The Jazz roster still has a distinct lack of playmaking.

Are the Jazz still in assets collection mode? If so, I would say anyone they think can improve team culture the first half of the season and then flip at the deadline.

Also think there’s a decent chance they use part of their non-taxpayer MLE to bring over Procida. He’s currently a free agent and if they believe in his potential, this is probably the best time to bring him into the organization.

Prop bets should be outlawed.

IF he did what they’re investigating him for, I’m thankful that it wasn’t while he was with the Jazz.

After the Porter thing, I would think that NBA players would stay FAR, FAR away from these types of shenanigans.

Not sure they pursue any free agents
Maybe one
They drafted three very good prospects and sign two or three UFAs that are good enough to make the roster

Ty Jerome? The player that went 8-20, 1-14 then 1-8 against the pacers, then practically benched the last 2 games. That guy looked terrible in that small sample so can’t comment on entirely but he looked rough. I dont want him

Had a 3.4 OBPM this past season. Elite shooter who makes smart decisions on both ends. Maybe he isn't a great playoff player, but I'm not worried about that. I would just want high IQ players to elevate the guys we are really trying to develop.

I honestly think he's like 80% of Kon's ceiling as a player. People here, and supposedly in Utah's FO, loved Kon so why not?

Ty Jerome might be worth signing anyways regardless of fit/direction. Elite PnR player....though Hardy is not a heavy coach.

I think that is an interesting comparison. I feel like you always need to be molding your team to create playoff winning culture and he seems to me to ceiling that hope. Increasing need for players that can go both ways and have that inner fight in them. I can see what you see w the PnR ability and similarities to Kon. But I’m glad we got ace and hope we are building the team differently now going forward

I’d sure love to take a swing at Grimes, not sure what it’s going to take to get him out of Philly though
Too much. Outside of a sign and trade for Kuminga (who probably doesn’t make much sense next to Bailey), the only free agent I would’ve wanted would’ve been Steven Adams. I’m happy for them to try to find a Eubanks or Patty Mills caliber vet that they can trade later for an asset, but they should focus on offloading Sexton, Clarkson, Collins, Martin and Mykhailiuk first.

If anything, I’m more bullish on keeping Sexton, who I think can be the kind of competitive ******* this team needs to set the tone with guys like Cody, Key, Ace and Hendricks.
