What's new

2025 Free Agency Thread

So if the Grizzlies cant dump Cole (and the price might be high since Brooklyn almost single handedly controls the dump market), then they may not be able to offer the full MLE to Jerome without feeling cap pressure due to the upcoming JJJ negotations and possibly retaining Aldama.

The other two teams linked to Jerome are Charlotte (just got Sexton, so probably out) and Warriors (do they have the full MLE?)

Here are three new free agents as of five minutes ago: Luka Garza, Josh Minott and Colby Jones. I doubt the Jazz would be interested in any of them.

We don’t need Jerome…but he’s way too good to only go for $9-10M. One bad playoff run shouldn’t diminish how good was this year.

Bad time to be a small, defensively challenged guard. There is no market for them.

If anything, I’m more bullish on keeping John Collins, who I think can be the kind of veteran leader this team needs to set the tone with guys like Cody, Key, Ace and Hendricks. :)
I don't think they have nearly enough minutes for Collins, Lauri, Ace, Hendricks, Cody especially if they promised Ace he would the "the man." Collins will also be playing for a new contract so will need minutes and shots.

Hansen Yang said get the **** out my way
There is a clip I’ll try to find of Ryan Russillo talking about Yang playing and not being able to speak English, but with elite vision.
So he’d make this weird yelling/chirping sound to call for the ball.

Russilllo’s impression of it cracks me up every time. Fifteen times in a row, I’m still laughing.

Yeah. You missed the point of my post, but it’s easy to do so. I posted that I was bullish on keeping Sexton and within hours he was traded.

So I posted a joke response to being bullish on keeping Clarkson and less than 24 hours later. . . he’s negotiating a buyout.

Me being bullish on Collins is the natural follow up. I’m fully expecting him to be traded by the end of the week. . .
