Elijah Harkless Hype Thread

Is there any buzz on what we are planning on with Harkless? Is he still under 2-way contract?

I really hope the Jazz keep him or find someone else like him. He's the only guy we have on our team that can turn an opposing guard's water off when they are cooking us.

I believe both he and Oscar can be signed to two ways this season.

He's on the SL roster. He might need to perform to keep his 2way spot

Today on Locked On Locke said there was someone on the SL roster who could have a "Scottie Pippen year" (meaning play really well in SL, make the team and have a big year). He didnt say who it was, but said "he would get to it in a second" but never circled back to that point.

I think he was talking about Harkless.

Harkless has already played some for the Jazz
Maybe it's not Harkless I do like Harkless though and think he played very good for Jazz

It's Harkless. Nothing he said mentioned them having never played for teh jazz unless I missed that part.

Pippen JR played for the Grizzlies the year prior, for a small portion of games, before his breakout, so it's actually a perfect comp for Harkless.

I dont see who else it could be besides Harkless. We know it isnt Collier because he said it was a different player as he was talking about Collier.

I really like Harkless in our 5th starter role for this team, especially if we don't keep SloMo. We need someone that can take the tough defensive assignments and is capable of being effective without a huge usg%.

Should the Jazz keep him on as a 2 way for now and then convert his contract to a full one later in the season? Since he’s already on the 2 way and in the 18 man roster, it might make sense to utilize the other spots with trades and/or signings before converting him. At least to start the season.

Yeah, not a good PG, but he showed some driving ability I didn't think he had. He also had two really nice passes to Sanogo that ended up in travels that would be buckets for most NBA bigs.

Fair. I just thought him and Collier missed the obvious corner pass like infinity times last night. Brice too but he usually scored anyway so whatevs.
